Up early today for my first away match of the season. Sheffield United v Cardiff, 12:30 kick off.
I have no expectation of City getting anything from this game.

Assuming you live in Cardiff can I ask why you've chosen this one? Long way for a game which as you say you're unlikely to get anything from.

Kudos for travelling. 👏

After last night's excellent result for Rovers - thank you Boro - IF we can beat PNE (7th, 62, 5 to play) and Coventry (9th, 59, 5 to play) we need 13 from 18, 4 wins and a draw to secure 6th.

Preston are at Millwall today, need the Lions to win that one. Coventry are at QPR and should win. Rovers are home to Hull, a game we absolutely have to win.

Sixth will do as it doesn't matter where a club finishes in the play-off zone as it just comes down to three performances. You know it's the business end of the season when you're checking everyone's results and calculating what your team needs to do after every match 🤣

It's one of the few championship grounds I haven't been to that is within a day's return travel from Cardiff. I used to go to about one away game a month but decided to cut back this year and only go to grounds I haven't been to before.
Middlesbrough and Sunderland are others I haven't been to yet and I can't see me doing them in a day!

A draw might suit you better, they are both on 62 pts.
Just watch last night's highlights, that will have deflated Norwich, I think they will slide out of it, but anyone down to West Brom as it stands now could make 5th or 6th place. Especially as there are so many 6 pointers still to play amongst the 'contenders'.

I went to a Sunderland vs West Ham 5th round cup game at the old Roker park in February 1992.
From Basildon to Sunderland and back by car was about 570 miles.I did it in one day but i can tell you i was cream crackered when i got home.

Rock bottom Rochdale are realistically facing relegation after 95 years in the English football league. 7 points from 9 since sacking the manager haven’t helped much as the teams above have had a good run too. 6 points from safety with 5 to go means a draw is a disappointing result. I don’t expect much from todays visit from promotion chasing Bradford. One can only hope. Up the Dale.

Yes, you're right plenty of teams could make but bias aside with our fixtures I do feel we're in poll for sixth. If we take 3 each from Coventry and PNE it will make life very hard for them.

Really need QPR to get stuck in for the next 45 minutes! 🤣

We all live in hope. If Reading hadn't had a 6 point deduction then Cardiff would be in the drop zone. As it

ANOTHER Accy player sent off today!! Right at the end of added time in the first half, so we again had to play a large part of the game with 10 players. I can't remember, but we must've had around 10 players sent off this season. We're now second from the bottom with only 5 games to go. I'd say today's game was a 'really need to win game'. Losing 2-5 at home must mean we are going down.

Sounds cracking, but not unusual for them.

I'm sure I've probably said this before but, the night before the independence referendum here, they came to Ibrox and delivered the best rendition of our national anthem I have ever heard. I could feel the hair on my neck stand, which is the one and only time I can say that about opposition fans.

We're safe now, 14 points clear of relegation zone with 4 games left. But you aren't, you really need some wins in those last 4.

As Stanley's nearest lower divisions club, I remember many derby games over the last few years. It was very sad to see Bury FC die. I've been watching The Dale's results, hoping they survive. Let's hope they stay up! but....

Well that didn't go to plan. Two ways of putting it:

#1 son "Not taking a shot"
The manager "We lacked quality in the final third"

I've read some FB posts questioning why we play certain players
