But you don't wear a helmet when traveling in a car or going in pubs, where head injuries are more likely. Your head is so precious and you show a careless attitude toward it and wear protection when you least need it.
I haven't damaged my head In a car or a pub or walking down the street! You have no idea how I ride or how I live my life yet you dictate to me where my risks are? I will decide when I need to wear one.

Are you claiming your risk of head injury is less in a car?

Here for rides.
Not at all- it's their choice. I wonder how many cyclists who ride without a helmet in Great Britain have actually studied the data or "evidence" from Australia or wherever, or do they they ride without a helmet because they always have ridden without one or do they not really "give it much thought"?
When I returned to cycling in '95 I was sold a helmet as part of the package. I always wore one until various folk I met, and whose opinions I found I respected, from in here and elsewhere caused me to consider the evidence. Now I prefer not to wear one in a lot of situations. I won't be wearing one this afternoon when I perform various errands around the town and district. But in cph not wearing one is a no brainer.

Don't blame me, blame the great David Millar.

Sorry but I subscribe to the view that if you ain't in the team, or are, at least, capable of putting in a team-member-like performance, don't wear the full kit. The team member wouldn't chose to do so, so why would you?

Ok, fair enough, your choice.

Free choice again buddy.

I'm not claiming anything, I'm just saying that in 27 years of driving I've never hit my head in a car.

So you discount all evidence that contradicts your anecdotes?

I don't wear helmets anywhere. My question was why do you not wear a helmet when your risk of TBI is higher than when you do wear a helmet?

But how do you know MY risk is higher when I'm not wearing one?
