Boundary Stone
Ripponden Road
(south side of) jct 22/M62
‘Saddleworth Moor’

A very brief detour, during a Ringways Airport & back trip this morning
This took approximately 4hours, due to a mix of road-works/speed-restrictions/fog/queuing traffic
(barring a stop at Birch Services for a widdle & to pick up the new copy of 'Truck & Driver', & this very short side-trip)

As An Aside; this is one of the very few m-way junctions in the UK, that has cattle-grids protecting it!!

The North door, also a Norman surround, apparently (according to the 'Great English Churches' website)

There's no photograph, on Geograph, but it's approximately at the bottom edge of the blue circle; https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3078278

The Black Swan (as it had been for a lot of years)
Silver Street/MaryGate
Wakefield

Presently (& surprisingly for Wakefield Council!!), like a few of the Georgian, & Victorian buildings along WestGate, undergoing restoration/conservation work

It’s incorporated into #13, along with some of the cities architectural gems; https://www.wakefieldhistoricalsoci...o-selected-historical-buildings-in-wakefield/

Note also, the splendid surviving door, from the old entrance into WestGate railway station (page 16)

The old timbered frontage is what they expect to find, or how it looked, when all the rendering was removed;

EDIT; Tuesday 7th @ 09:23

The BBC featured it; https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/t...esting-geographs.215788/page-331#post-6897981
There's some utter rubbish, in that article, about 'the timber-frame being discovered', as though no-one (or organisation) knew it was there!!!

2. The 'Wakefield & Barnsley Union Bank', is also presently scaffolded/sheeted, for work; https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/t...esting-geographs.215788/page-325#post-6823036

Sherburn Street (B1222, the Sherburn-in-Elmet, to Fulford/YorK road)
Cawood (a 'town' renown for flooding when the River Ouse rises)
North Yorkshire

An unusual place, I've never seen anyone walking about in the streets, & rarely a vehicle moving
It's like they're all hiding indoors, when a stranger passes through

When I came home, from delivering the BWSOW to Stillingfleet, I actually saw a family on the street
Granted, they were to the south-west of the town, where there's some new houses, but once more. no-one was on this section
