I saw this beautiful moth today. I don't know the name of it, but when it was airborne it was a striking orange colour.

Looks like a Tiger moth to my basic knowledge but I am sure there is more than one type.

I have just found out it is a Jersey Tiger Moth.

A strange co-incidence; I saw the pic earlier this morning, and have just in the last two minutes been called out to the garden by my wife to see one. She would have been really impressed if I'd remembered the name....
