I can't help thinking there should be cabbage themed girl band called.

Shame this wasn't in the 'name that road' thread as it's pretty much the only one I've identified instantly - South Farm Road, between Budleigh Salterton and Otterton. We must have walked that route hundreds of times over the years.

The skyline of Otter Head is one of my favouite views and I must have taken hundreds of photographs of it over the years. This was on our most recent visit last month.

I was told a long time ago that the view west towards Straight Point was the one locals preferred, as opposed to tourists and incomers who rave about Otter Head.

Well I'm not sure about our all being quite so homoganised re our views on views..

Both vistas are pretty good, tbh .
Massively spoilt either way.

I generally prefer the west end because you don't need to do all that tedious nonsense of clambering in and out of a swimming costume..

Plus I like looking back from in the sea, at the high sandstone cliffs with all their wind eroded holes in the sandstone..

Lots of funny faces...

However if there's a whole day spare, or even an overnighter to be had..

Further east at Weston Mouth is the real deal 🙏🏼

It really is autumning like billyo out there...

I love the way that smoke swirls up from a bonfire and love the smell (which is strange as cigarette smoke makes me heave). It's one of those things that makes autumn special.

As an ex-boy scout I'm with you there - nothing, not even fresh-mown grass, smells as good as a bonfire.
