The Sunderland one is tough with an uphill start and and an uphill finish. I do them early season to get a reference for how my training is going.
I survivedHow'd it go?
Nice one. 304 calories burnt - you can treat yourself to cake timeI survivedA bit off PB pace but I expected that so no surprise there.
I had planned to just get round today, but with about 75 meters to go my mate starts shouting like a man possessed, (having already finished), so I lit the afterburners for a sprint finish*

*my version of a sprint finish at least![]()
Great stuff, well done.Bah! 30:30 a PB but still not under 30 minutes............yet
Often do Parkrun Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham. Consistently annoyingly above 22 mins every week. Usually less than 10s above, but above nonetheless.
Not done it for a month or two, though.
Increase your milleage and add a bit of variety. Speedwork (intervals) and fartleks usually do the job!
A structured training plan is usually essential when you feel you reached a plateau. Runners World (Smartcoach) and My Asics are quite decent!
Or I could just give up and concentrate on the cycling?![]()
