that day has arrived

As the title of this thread suggests that the day has arrived where i fell off the bike on a descent over a cattlegrid while i was scouting some of the route i will be doing on the sportive luckily the bike survived apart from another scratch was sure it had cracked.

Glad the bike was OK, @jamma and assume you were too. Don't turn, slow down (ie brake) or attempt to accelerate (ie pause pedalling, weight split evenly on each pedal eg at 3 and 9) on a cattle grid. Straight across, light (but firm grip) on the saddle and bars.

Ouch. Cattle grids in the dark can be a swine. You're tootling along and all of a sudden you have a pneumatic drill up your bottom. And then just as suddenly, it stops.
