I'm guessing you're 5 or so years older than me - I remember Andy Pandy in his later programmes, but more of:

Mary, Mungo and Midge

Crystal Tipps and Alistair

and

Fingerbobs

to name but a few....

Plus of course, the Trumptonshire Trilogy, Mr Benn, Bagpuss etc...

Three years off the big 6 0 and wondering where the time went.
Try these three.

For years I struggled to find anyone who remembered Mary, Mungo and Midge to the point where I thought I had imagined it. Then along came YouTube!

I remember watching all of those and I remember watching the first moon landing. I'm only 42!
Dad had a takeaway and my brother and I used to be sat up in the kitchens watching TV so that Mum could work the counter til midnight without leaving us unattended.

Ah, ok, you're a bit older than I guessed. Z Cars I remember, although probably in its later years.

Last night I was in a talk on the archaeology of Jodrell Bank (yes, it is old enough!). The speaker played some clips of Bernard Lovell's radio talks from the 50's and in one he sounded so like Oliver Postgate, and the background music was so right, for a minute I thought it was the intro to The Clangers. You could almost feel everyone in the audience settling down...

(Fact Fans: the two bearings that the Lovell Radio Telescope pivots on were ex-gun turret bearings from WW2 warships!)
