Christopher Ecclestone had that, imo. He was more a Jon Pertwee doctor (I think of DT as a Tom Baker doctor). I still think it's a shame he only did one season of new who.

No, and I'll be interested to see how dark the new chap is (as dark as you can be when you're a baby, I suppose). I reckoned David Morrisey would have been good, for that reason, he can do dark very well..
