This is actually the full film, so if you haven't seen it, watch it now.

I wasn't born when this was release, but watched it on DVD (many times). Near the end of the film it's played again with the oh so catchy words.

I was singing this on the way home from a night out a couple of years ago, when I got home I found it playing on TV

Got to post the music dave r - good call on this one; another memory!

Yes childhood memories! Trouble is I have spent most of an evening on this thread, its given me the bigest chuckle I've had for ages though. The thing is after reading through this thread and watching the clips I just had to look up a few other programs, like Torchy the Battery boy, Twizzle and Four Feather Falls. I have just been doing the washing up and thinking about Listening with mother, before we had a TV. And when we got the TV Watching With Mother, Rag Tag And Bobtail, The Wooden Tops, Andy Pandy and of course Bill And Ben The Flower Pot Men.

I'm guessing you're 5 or so years older than me - I remember Andy Pandy in his later programmes, but more of:

Mary, Mungo and Midge

Crystal Tipps and Alistair

and

Fingerbobs

to name but a few....

Plus of course, the Trumptonshire Trilogy, Mr Benn, Bagpuss etc...

Blimey - I'm really feeling my age!

I just about remember Supercar. I was really into Fireball XL5 - that "I wish I was a spaceman, the fastest guy alive, I'd fly you round the universe in Fireball XL5..." song was the on the first single I ever owned.

I'd forgotten how much I loved Space Patrol!

I've been having flashbacks to being in an art class at my junior school... I was doing a painting when I noticed an article in a newspaper which had been spread out over the desk. It described a new childrens' TV series which was about to start called Thunderbirds. I was really excited by that show. Somehow the fact that I knew that the 'stars' were all puppets didn't make any difference... It used to be on at the same time as Top of the Pops and in those days we only had one TV per house and there were no VCRs so I'd end up arguing with my big sister about what to watch. We settled on alternate weeks, and going round to our friends on the other weeks.

Stingray was another big favourite - Stand by for Action! (Anything can happen in the next half hour)...
