It's that time again Zwifters - another update full of goodness. One of the most visible changes is that we've improved our avatar customization system to include many more options and items to choose from. This also sets up the framework to allow us to add many more customization options in the future - so tell us what you'd like to see here.

Recent changes include:

  • Avatar customization redone for cycling, and is now available for runners as well
  • ANT+ FE-C trainer calibration button added for some trainers. This may take one or two runs of Zwift before we properly detect the capabilities of your trainer. Until then the button on the pairing screen may not be visible. You must pair as FE-C to use this feature.
  • Bluetooth support for calibration on Wahoo and Cycleops smart trainers
  • Italian language support added
  • Runners can now earn items and level up to level 10
  • Running threshold pace increase detection added
  • Better support for many event subgroups to start in a single gated area
  • August mission added
  • Graphics slightly improved, 'floating grass' fixed
  • Computrainer should now work more reliably
  • ERG resume made slightly easier to trigger in workout mode
  • Sim mode made more reliable on Wahoo and Cycleops trainers over bluetooth (Mac/iOS)
  • Pair to Withings/Nokia account on your Zwift.com connections page and have your in-game weight updated any time you step on your Withings scale.
  • MapMyRun / MapMyRide activity upload support added. Pair accounts via the Zwift.com connections page.
NOTE: iOS update containing these changes is still in the process of getting into the app store now. Please allow a couple of days for it to be made available.

We are continuing to work on our next batch of new roads, improvements to events, and some very exciting Zwift Mobile Link app updates. We are also continuing to grow the team at Zwift so that we can deliver more of the features we've got planned as soon as possible. Check our job listings and join the pack!

As usual we're all ears when it comes to suggestions or feedback about changes, and a good way to do that is via our Zwift Support Community.

Ride On.

It's really good to see CC representation so high in the SummerCup again... when DP completes stage 5, the top 20'will look very healthy - does Jacob consider himself a CycleChatter? If so, 'we're' (royal we) doing very very well.

Next stage we're cupping in the hills so I'm not looking forward to that - @rob01792 is breathing down my neck...
.....and if you expand it to the top 50, not only do you get to include yourself and Rob even AAAC sneaks in at 44 ;) (i know he like DP didn't do SC5 yet) but it is what it is!

Done mine in just under the hour so not bad considering at least half was out on my own! exhaustion kicked in with about 12km left and had to go balls deep to finish off...
Where was @bridgy 's ghost when I needed it! It wasn't available and only when I finished I realised you were 12 seconds faster! :gun:
Probably a good course for a get together again before the end of the cup...

There's no such thing! Mine is just afraid of the sun

I'm way down at the moment ~ will be doing catch up rides next week to hopefully get me back onto page 1

I'm also in catch-up mode starting Sunday. 130km to do to get up to date  3 x SC and 1 x CG

Slowest time for SC 5 is 1 h 5 min behind Jacob thus plummeting me down the rankings.
I shan't be far behind when I have completed it.
I though that if I subtract that from my current deficit that it would give me my theoretical time which would put me behind Bridgy which is a bit odd (no offence intended @bridgy ).

The bit where I sat still for a minute and a half fixing my chain would have been a bit annoying for you though!

Yes, but I would have let you catch me up when I was blowing hard  and get a bit of respite hiding behind you! That's a really hard course when on your own. I stayed with Jacob for about 7km and then faded and other ghosts just caught up and disappeared. TBH I was probably on my own for most of the ride. I'll sleep well tonight...

Yeah, I was only teasing - and to be fair I did have the benefit of drafting with AAAC and a couple of Spanish guys until the bloody chain incident!

It is a hard course, even with a bit of drafting help - and long by bkool race standards so well done on your time - I'd like to have another go at it Saturday but I won't be around

Looking at @bridgy stats I lost him at about km 12.3 which is about where I got away from the other two and then sat out front until my PC crashed at km 44.5 with 3.4 km to go so I know exactly what you mean.
