I think (and I'm happy to be corrected as its ages since I did it) but there should be an icon for garmin connect in your icon tray (bottom right of windows - if you're on Windows 8 I've no idea). Hover over the icons to see what they are. when you find the Garmin Connect icon, right click and pick 'Exit'. This should close it.
Next time you boot up, garmin connect should run up again.
Apologies again if this is guff.
Thanks. That makes sense to me to, only I dont see any iconfor garmin on my tray.
I've trouble shooted my ant dongle and it said no problems found.
Ive just uninstalled th ephone app because it just wouldnt stop running in th ebackground, and frankly its useless out there in areas without a data connection....bkool still havent replied properly to several e mails for clarification. Right now its just an expensive lump of junk clogging up my bedroom. I find their help pages difficult to comprehend, as they are not written in plain speaking english, rather a combination of geek speak & poorly translated sections from what i suspect was orgionally written in Spanish.
I am sure the unit is great when working properly, and it was until the upgrades for me anyway. The problem is that its so dam complex to set up and run....why cant these things just have a simple on/off button???
