I think (and I'm happy to be corrected as its ages since I did it) but there should be an icon for garmin connect in your icon tray (bottom right of windows - if you're on Windows 8 I've no idea). Hover over the icons to see what they are. when you find the Garmin Connect icon, right click and pick 'Exit'. This should close it.
Next time you boot up, garmin connect should run up again.
Apologies again if this is guff.

Thanks. That makes sense to me to, only I dont see any iconfor garmin on my tray.

I've trouble shooted my ant dongle and it said no problems found.

Ive just uninstalled th ephone app because it just wouldnt stop running in th ebackground, and frankly its useless out there in areas without a data connection....bkool still havent replied properly to several e mails for clarification. Right now its just an expensive lump of junk clogging up my bedroom. I find their help pages difficult to comprehend, as they are not written in plain speaking english, rather a combination of geek speak & poorly translated sections from what i suspect was orgionally written in Spanish.

I am sure the unit is great when working properly, and it was until the upgrades for me anyway. The problem is that its so dam complex to set up and run....why cant these things just have a simple on/off button???

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The endless techy learning curve continues......

ive tried going in group and it just says no sessions , so i went into friends and had a go at the interval session - does that count ?
I did stage 1 on Friday but can't see any results. I'm wondering if I did it "outside" of the Cycling Around The World Group.

Must try to get it right for stage2.

B3gger! I took a bit of a guess as you didn't seem to be getting an answer from anyone else. More guessing TBH, but you could see if the garmin communicator or similar is listed as a windows service (in control panel) and 'stop' it. If that doesn't work, I'll leave you alone.

As I said in RussellZero's Bkool thread, the software seems generally as buggy as hell and the website just left me confused, so I cancelled my subscription after a week or so. Luckily I'm on a kickr so not tied to the bkool infrastructure.

Thanks...yep I tried that and it isnt listed. Ive just tried to contact bkool again on their site and even the send message function failed! Their site is total shite tbh...really not good.

Darn it, my wife decided to throw her birthday into the hat last week, and I struggled to escape to the comforting embrace of my Turbo Trainer, so missed the first couple of league rides, but have wobbled my way gingerly around the one scheduled for the 25th Nov. doesn't matter that I've done it early does it?
There's a nasty little 10% incline at about 5.3 miles that leaps out of a downhill section, I nearly put my head through my laptop screen!

Can I do stage 1 now, and it still count in the league? And please forgive my dumbness!

I think it's automatically set to only count in the league if its between the specified dates. You're ok for the 2nd stage though.

Also, looks like its important to enter the stage through "Leagues". I entered the first stage through my favorites and I don't think it has counted.

Ack - so bkool software decided to stop talking to my Kickr mid session, quite annoying but gave me an excuse to go and ride out in the fresh air (and boy was it fresh this morning!).... and the rain which was forecast didn't materialise either.

The HR was still there so my ANT dongle was still working. Perhaps it was an Android issue (I was using my Tablet) but that said, I was able to do a spin down on the phone so the Kickr was still working.

I really want to keep going with the bkool software (seeing as I still have an annual pass) but this is making it harder to justify if it decides to quit half way on me.
