Congratulations @shimceltic on an impressive ride!
Well, might as well apply to medical school or apply for the Superman role. Here is the latest xray from 2 days ago, showing what I suspected 3 weeks ago. Still waiting for a specialist to comment on it, but it doesn’t look too great IMHO.

Hey Brusgaard, sorry I’m a little late to the party.
I hope the recovery is going as well as possible mate.
Will know more Tuesday as I have an appointment with an Othorpedic surgeon at a private hospital. Leg pain is gone, too bad it took my fitness with it, when it left.

I will have a CT-scan when my vacation is over, likely the week after next, and then surgery soon after that.
The dislocation is around 25 mm, and normally insurance cover anything above 20mm, so here’s hoping!
He also told me that there (back then) was a long fracture along the bone sideways (sorry don’t know then correct English term), but that it of course had healed a long time ago. It is pretty obvious from the first x-ray, now that I know it.
He has operated on many cyclists, surfers and other people (including his own daughter), and told me that the pain I still feel in the area could just as well be related to the crash impact on the other bones in the area.
The collarbone was broken from the right side impact when I landed - not from the front. He also told about a (pro) cyclist he operated on, where it took 12 months before he was back at his normal watts. Guess everyone isn’t a Vingegaard. 🙂
you will get there mate like you say its just gonna take time , heal well -is it ok to sit up on turbo and just turn legs over just to keep on top of fitness ?
It’s a great thing to reboot to factory settings. You may have to do a few upgrades to Collarbone 1.3.53 after the reset. Includes some patches for shoulder security.
Just roughly 20’s or 30’s. When I first started getting it up to 140 bpm I asked my cardiologist what the max was and he said go for it. You got a Ferrari. Still very surreal it truly is much more mundane than your collarbone.Well, unlike your "new" heart, my collarbone is the same old one - just with some screws and bolts to hold it together and in the right place!
Do you know the age of your donor?

All the best with the op @Brusgaard . Hopefully you're a Vingegaard - on his timescale you'll be flying again by the time the bkool season starts.
