Folks, it's official- BKool support says known bug cause of my Bluetooth issues. Fix will be in new version "sometime in October" according to them. If I figure a workaround I'll join for the Oct league, if not - as soon as the fix works.

How about just updating to the latest VC redistributable?

I would have joined tonight if I had seen these messages. Mines running fine still via ant on hr strap and Bluetooth tacx.
I've created a 20km session for Thursday, easy spin
I will hopefully be back in time to start.

Tour de Sims tonight:
25 minutes on BKOOL: No connection problems, smooth graphics (1440p). Low CPU (~30%) and GPU (<50%) usage. 6 riders (saw 3) - no bots
15 minutes on WahooRGT: No connection problems, smooth graphics (1440p). Low CPU (<20%) and GPU (<50%) usage. 10 riders (saw 2) - many bots (saw 8+)
10 minutes on Zwift: No connection problems, smooth graphics (1440p). High CPU (~85%) and GPU (>80%) usage. At least 50+ riders (100 is max on screen in Z) all of us riding around a pacer bot.
10 minutes on MyWhoosh: No connection problems, somewhat stuttering graphics (1440p). Some CPU (35%+) and some GPU (50%+) usage. Many riders and/or bots - saw none!

New PC specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 7600X CPU
Asus ROG Strix Gaming WiFi B650E-I motherboard
16GB Kingston Fury DDR5-6000 memory
Nvidia RTX 2060/6GB (same as in the old one)
512GB Corsair MP600 NVMe drive

You need to find an event or route sparsely populated on Zwift to compare like with like. My old i3 NUC with built in graphics chip copes fine with 100+ riders on Zwift and 1080p

Yes, but would it run smoothly at Ultra profile at 1440p and 60 FPS? Think not. :-) People using AppleTV thinks it runs fine too, with basic profile, 1080p and a 30 FPS cap.

The old(er) computer was OK too, but I wanted a bit more single- and multithread performance with a low power usage, hence the AMD instead of Intel powerhogs. Recording in 1440p, 60FPS and 50Mbit requires some CPU power too.

Get down with your bad self! Wish I could use my recording studio computer for riding, but it staying put in there fo' sure. Current riding laptop works great with all platforms but BKool - doomed to be victimized by the CONUS location and MSI motherboard on the content creation/riding laptop I guess.

I can't bring myself to upgrade when I have clear graphics on my 65" Oled TV and the NUC can record in 1080p. Maybe not the higher frame rate, but sufficient for a clean YouTube video. If it ever dies I will get a better setup, but it seems extremely reliable little PC

And I can't bring myself to play a game running at low FPS. YouTube also treats 1080p uploads differently than 1440p. So for the best compression algorithm, and thus better quality, use at least 1440p.

I'm sure that the new setup would handle 2160p screen resolution in Zwift too, but I see no reason to. 1440p (78% more pixels than 1080p) is fine on my 43" 4K TV. 1080p on a 65" must be like playing Minecraft, unless you are 20 feet away from the screen.

I’m good to go. Bkool seems to be working. I only spun the pedals for about 10 meters but it all seemed to be ok.

What time on Thursday Shim? I won’t be home until around 7pm but worst case I’ll do the course on my own

Just bought myself a mSFF AMD machine to replace the huge i5 box that I used to use ... amazed at how well it performs ... 7600+ S ... and only 15W 😱😱😱😱
