Just put my bike back together again after 2 1/2 years in the wilderness.
I need to sort out a space in my garage and a new PC before I get my legs spinning again.
My body has finally got used to shift working after all that time and I have done most of the jobs I need to do to the new house so it's time to get fit again.
I might see you all in VR soon.

Plenty of time before autumn

Are you meeting Randy for a ride?

I hope so, but he is in Sweden right now.

In other news: Give this (other) old man a like: https://www.facebook.com/stig.nicolaysen.3
He had just arrived to race this years Race Across America when he felt sick during the night, and was quickly diagnosed with 2 strokes in the brain! Talk about bad luck! His hope right now is just some time to be able to ride a bike again!

don't read much on here nowadays , just drop in now and then so I guessed I had missed something when you disappeared - so nice to see you back - thought you had gone to the big race track in the sky
sure the fitness will come back just in time for the indoor season to start again and you will be showing us all what the back wheel looks like ! welcome back
and thought @Randy was quiet ! where about is he at the moment ? I roughly know his plan but not the route he is taking , another nice bloke - hope he has better luck than when he got his bike nicked here - if you read this - good luck mate and enjoy

It’d be great to see you in the races mate! Glad things are going ok for you too. @BILL S has threatened to make a comeback too.

I’ll be back on bkool at the end of the summer. And now I know you both still have Cyclchat accounts you can expect some gentle prodding between now and then to get your arses in gear! You don’t need anything fancy when it comes to a turbo unless you’re inclined to. Just one that’s reliable really. This might be a good time of year to look at 2nd hand ones.

Got to sort me out a new PC as my old one was running on a pirate Windows 7 that couldn't be upgraded to 10 and was getting a little slow for the improvements in the various platforms.
I don't have a new trainer yet either but contrary to rumour my BKool is a bulk standard old Pro.
I did at one point buy a 'for spares or repairs' Pro when I was running a classic and used the Pro circuit board in my Classic so I could keep up in the days of the Pro-Slings.
First I need to partition my garage as I do a lot of dusty work in there and don't fancy flexing my lungs with such things as ceramic tile and MDF dust hanging around.
For now I have put my bike together with two wheels, brakes and some proper road bars with the intention of pottering around the local countryside to start getting my cycling legs back and create a reasonable pass time for my looming retirement in the next 4 years or sooner and certainly before I hit 70.
I just need to work on my mojo right now and have started keeping up with Pro-Cycling which is what got me back on my bike almost 20 years ago now when I started riding to work.
