Man @Brusgaard another seriously fast 40 miles today. Nice.

Gotta go (semi)-fast when doing the rides between Giro d’Italia and following the Rune tennis matches, and still be be home for dinner. ^_^ Hopefully I can get out early tomorrow and do a slow(ish) ride for 2 hours+. I think that would be beneficial for the system, or at least that is what the Garmin tells me everyday when I start…

I need to change the speed of my Garmin virtual partner. He still thinks I live in the flatlands

We have a new audiologist who started at work and he is a bike rider. On Saturday we went for a ride. In the real world I've only ever ridden with other people half a dozen times. He has a much higher cadence and I see it makes a huge difference on the hills.
When watching on the trainer I can keep it a little higher but going to video only or the real world it seems to always be about 73.
Destined to be a masher with no finesse.

Any thoughts on what is a reasonable time for a rear derailleur to be repaired/replaced under warranty?
I have been without my road bike for 2 weeks now - summer doesnt last long here - but they wont say when I may get it back.

🤔 Sounds poor. Can they lend you a bike/ buy an new one and claim the costs back. Like you said the summer window is small here and it will be Thursday racing before you know it. The plastic bit on my chain ring cracked and it's a known fault. Doesn't affect riding but last year I was told Jan2024 for replacement!

Its really frustrating. The LBS has fitted a replacement but cant release the bike until they get the OK from SRAM. My previous bike had a similar problem with a Di2 shifter - it took 5 weeks.
I like the idea of asking for the loan of another one, but I can guess the reply!
I have other bikes but the reason I paid alot of money was so I had a very good one to ride at this time of year!
Moan over...

Spares are really hard to get at the moment, but they keep selling new bikes with the bits you need! Tell them to take it off one that needs selling

No! That was sorted but I then took the bike in for its free first annual service. I had done a ride the day before and it was going great but they found a minor problem with the RD, and I havent seen it since!

Hmmm.better check to see if its on Ebay.

Edit: I mean to say your bike might be on EBay. it would be listed as a " known very fast bike."

LIVING THE DREAM
Just put my bike back together again after 2 1/2 years in the wilderness.
I need to sort out a space in my garage and a new PC before I get my legs spinning again.
My body has finally got used to shift working after all that time and I have done most of the jobs I need to do to the new house so it's time to get fit again.
I might see you all in VR soon.
