More the merrier, dont expect much of a race from me though. I've got my 1st ever sportive on Sunday (assuming it doesn't get cancelled) so I'm gonna taper a little. I might try and hang on your wheel for a bit though

General question but it's been bugging me about my own set-up. Indoors I can avg 260w for an hour sometimes a little more, I'm doubtful I'd be able to match that outside (even bearing in mind my Wattbikes ~5% generosity) , on Sunday I pushed quite hard avg 153bpm and managed 220W for 80mins on my Vector 2's, by 235W I'd probably have been in the red. Is anyone else able to hold their indoor watts outside at a similar HR? I appreciate cycling outside puts greater load on the body engaging core muscles whilst braking/balancing/cornering etc. but is that enough to explain the difference?
I'm tempted to go to Kent cyclopark and just smash it for an hour without traffic or junctions and see what that gives.
Andy,
During my marathon nearly 2 hour session on BigRing yhis evening my mind obviously wandered all over the place and was wondering, form a position of ignorance not having nay power meter, but might the difference, presumably in average power be anything to do with freewheeling. presumably in the real world your power output is low when freewheeling whereas on the trainer even if it's below average you are still turning the pedals and putting out some power. Just a thought.

Any difference to the actual rides in the beta?

I'll kick off tonight's stage at around 6.10 PM UK with warmup starting 10 minutes before that.

The stage is 5 laps round Centennial Park in Sydney with 19.12 km / 11,88 miles in total. Lots of little kicks to favour the lightweights. Expected finish time around 30-35 minutes for the fastest riders.

See you in the simulator! :hello:
Thanks for the stage preview
