Ghosts are “useless” these days. I only add them to spice things up.

As anyone can arrange a race anytime on Bkool, such a list would/could be miles long. Any ride you start is potentially a race as soon as someone else joins you. Password protect the session, if you don‘t want company, and share it with those you like to race against.

The races organized by BKOOL themselves are your best bet, and you’ll find them on their Facebook page. Races late afternoon and early evening usually have the highset number of participants, but nowhere like most Zwift races however...

The Danish Bkoolligaen has about 200-300 riders each time, and I think some of the Spanish Leagues are well attended too. But I’m not sure they are open to everyone, the Danish one isn’t anyway.

The Monday email from bkool gives featured rides, normally 6, 7 pm most days. If I jump on at a random time I chose the ride with most participants and use it as a TT

Totally forgot about Facebook - will have a look - thanks
Think I will cancel one sub to something and try bkool for a bit , but really want to join some sort of league as I do like finding a nemesis
Zwift is good but if you go in the massive races they can be non social if you know what I mean. I really enjoy riding with people I know and feel equal to I can’t on Zwift at moment as I have been put in different cat to all I usually ride with ( long boring story ) and I am missing it

I'm sure others have filled you in, but we have the league rides on Thursday (18:00) and Saturday(17:00) and the handicap of Tuesday(18:00), let me know if you want to join on Tuesday and I'll allocate you a handicap. Looks to me thpough, from last week's ride that in @AndyMacca you may well have found your Moriarty !

I wont be attempting that, luckily the official page says around 2500m I put it into komoot and it looks more realistic View attachment 551779
When I first looked I thought 2500 feet isn't too bad, but its meters! Makes me glad I'm not lucky. well except for the pizza oven and fancy beer tap and well behaved puppy and perfect new bike and..never mind, I guess wish I was lucky.

If you don’t mind giving me a couple of weeks to find my bearings then I wouldn’t mind joining leagues - unless you are starting a new one soon then I would leap in the deep end

We start a new Chain Gang league (using the BKOOL league system) every month with 4 or 5 races (Thursday+Saturday re-run). Then there is the handicap race on Tuesdays. These are not using the BKOOL league system, but results are instead kept in a spreadsheet, and your start time for the next race is based on your performance in the previous one. However, we usually keep the same start times for multiple races.
The handicap races are password protected, so only those knowing it can join, whereas the chain gang races are not. The handicap races work pretty much the same way as the Zwift meetups then.

We sometimes see a lot of unknown riders in the chain gang races, especially during the lockdown period of Spain/Italy/France etc. earlier this year
