Ah, that is a wheel-on trainer. They are known to be very critical to calibrate. Depends on tire-pressure, tire etc and they can slip. Without proper installation, the calibration can be way off, giving false readings or might cause slip. A direct-drive trainer does not have that issues. I started with a wheel-on trainer, but always felt the resistance was not accurate. I then switches to a direct-drive trainer and this feels much more like the real world.
Yeah it's not bad with the calibration. It's just on that fitness app it wants me to do 90 rpm at zone 2 which is just almost impossible
Try it on your direct drive and you'll see what I mean. When it's a higher zone its fine

I will be there, my first time. Anything I need to know. How long does it last...
U have already done the stage solo, taking 29 mins. I'll start the session at 6pm or around then and 10 mins later it starts, you might have some company but it won't be men

I'll be there...and I have to beat me...
Yeah I think that's going to be your biggest challenge based on previous results.

Just before the race starts make sure you've stopped pedalling and your watts are at zero, if not then sometimes you can get stuck frustratingly at the start - although I've not had this happen for a while now.
Also usually everyone seems to start really quickly then settle down after half a minute. I think this is due to some trainers reporting watts very quickly and avatars shooting off down the road whilst other people are stuck on the start line hitting 600w in frustration :cursing: then firing off once Bkool wakes up.

Just a little positive update on my health. The COVID19 test was NEGATIVE which is quite nice to say the least!!!!:dance:

Looks like it is just some flu or bug that has been giving me a fever and draining energy the last week or so.
I still have a fever, but hope I may now be on the mend now rather than getting worse. My forehead actually feels colder than yesterday.

Missed the last 5 km of today's Giro stage as I fell asleep on the couch and slept an hour+, which is way more consecutive sleep than I got last night!!! :okay::smile:

Think I'll sleep (better) tonight, and who knows, maybe I'll be ready to race ride on Saturday?

The number of newly (last 7 days) infected in my local area has now risen to 45 (98/100.000) which puts on into the 8th place of most infected pr. capita nationwide (15th yesterday and 94th about 2 weeks ago). Most of the infected are 10-19 years old and related to one or more school classes. They have a far better chance of going through it with no or only mild symptoms.

Have a nice race tonight, and thanks for your concern! :okay:
