OK, here's the updated handicaps for Saturday's rerun.

I'll start warm up at 4:50 pm and ride proper will start at 5:00pm, instructions as before.

If Wheely, Zach or Paul are joining us they should join the warm up and start when the session starts, everyone else join from the live tab as the underway time hits your new handicap.

I have updated with today's times, but adjusted their handicaps to 70% to reflect the fact that these were personal bests and will be very hard to improve on.

Hopefully this race will be even closer, if we can get a full grid it should be great fun.

Edited video of Handicap Chase is here ...
View: http://youtu.be/OMml_xyk8G0

At 8:50 in the video I make a complete mess of the gears on a steep gradient and grind to a halt, just as Bill whizzes past!

Once again, sorry it's mainly from my perspective, although most of you feature at some point! To get multiple perspectives would be better, but I would have to sit out and miss the ride.

I will suggest to Bkool that they provide a "replay" facility to play back through a session and pick different view points, that would be kool!

Geoff

That was quite a fun watch. Making some serious power there at times Geoff. I guessed you fluffed the gears at that hill, as I sometimes do the same trying to keep the high gear and power going for longer. I had thought about a replay facility as well with different viewpoints as well. That would indeed be really kool!

I liked this shot ... 11.6 miles in and 7 seconds between Bill, Me, Kipster and Monte ... Handicaps must have been not too far out!

Seems a popular format, if OK with Adam and the other group members we can adopt the format for one stage of the Chain Gang each month?

Along with a Velodrome session a month as well, and a couple of standard sessions (perhaps a longer one and a shorter one), that should keep the rides fresh and give something for everyone.

Each month we can pick one of the stages to be run as a handicap the following month, so we can get handicap times.

Yes, the handicaps were spot on Geoff and I am now concerned to see my latest handicap places me at a distinct disadvantage for tomorrow's ride:stop: I am sure I should be nearer the top! ^_^

After last nights win I was tempted to put you right at the back, behind Bill!

But my sense of fair play and basic decency won out ...

EDIT: Plus, I couldn't find a way to fiddle the maths.

Since you're only 27 seconds behind me I expect I'll be feeling your breath on my neck very soon after the start!

I wouldn't worry too much about it Bob. I won't be repeating last nights effort in a hurry. I couldn't stop coughing all night and my Mrs wasn't happy with me for overdoing it.
Of course, once the red mist descends I'm not actually very capable of logical thought:hyper::crazy:

It's good to know that your were trying, as you passed and beat me by about 2 minutes! My mrs was disappointed that I let you past, until I told her that I'd improved my time by 3 minutes!

Since the league is now working again, is anyone up for Cheddar Gorge this evening? Can't do it too late, but it's a very short stage, 10-15 minutes at the most.

Ha! I went to bed shaking from the exertion! . I fear I am a broken man....

Bobinski just 58 seconds ahead of me, the virtual minute man, I'm wishing for horrible weather tomorrow as an excuse to miss the club ride so I can hunt him down on the bkool.

Yep, often been told a minute is about all I can muster:ohmy: so we may be evenly matched ^_^
