Sorry guys, not going to make the rerun tonight. Off to the Tri show in Manchester tomorrow, so staying in a hotel in Shrewsbury tonight, so we can offload the kids in the morning. Have fun, and make sure you all make the appropriate cooing and ahhing noises at Bill's new professional attire, I'm sure he will cut quite a dashing figure in it.
And once again Bill, well done. You've been chasing it a while now, and your performances certainly prove you are worthy of it....great stuff.

Thanks again Adam. You know how to make an old git puff his chest out even further. Have a great time at the Tri Show and we'll hopefully bump into each other next week in the virtual world of bkool. Looking forward to the big race on Tuesday and it may be a good replacement for the Goat stage 3 run which looks cancelled by bkool at the moment.

I was a spectator this evening and was convinced that LB was going to beat my time... Happy to still hold the 3rd fastest stage time. Good fun watching !

Well done Lars, a well paced ride.

And Bill, thanks for the tow, what happened half way, another mechanical?

I gave up on the pace after a while, as I was still tired after yesterdays long ride and Thursday's thrash. I did my usual and eased back to try and maintain a steady pace. I only dropped 30 seconds or so on Thursday's time, so I'm pleased with that.

Thanks to everyone that took part.
Next week is a short climb up Cheddar Gorge (steep at the bottom I'm told), with additional 40 lap Velodrome sessions on Thursday and Saturday! :bicycle::bicycle::bicycle:

Thanks Geoff

Good race.

I just don't get those watts comming from the Bkool though. One minute 300 watts feels like a breeze, the other I strugle to maintain 200 watt. And I swear, it's a lot harder to maintain watts going downhill, even though i putt in the same effort.

Well done Lars. I thought we were going to have some fun and games at the end but it was not to be. Yeah Geoff it was another puncture. I don't understand why as I always put in new tubes although it could be the high psi I try to maintain these days. Anyway I'm onto continental tubes now so hopefully they'll be better. Eventually managed to get the old racer onto the bkool to finish off. Caught up with Rayvon and Randy but was well done in by then and just wanted a nice cruise to the end.

Yes this is a common symptom of the power readout. When its an extreme difference in effort its probably down to the tyres. Too high friction for the fast speeds so the resultant power readout is much lower.

Although the wife bought me a magnum size beer called "Thors Hammer", I still think I will have a go at the Mountain Goat League tomorrow, but not quite sure what to do. Do I just find the session "Mt. Washington Hill Climb in Mt." and shedule/challenge?

Lars, if you're in the league it should appear under leagues in the bkool simulator.

Good ride tonight in the chain gang.

Lars, unfortunately there is a problem with the Mountain Goat league right now and no one is able to do it as a league ride. This seems to be a bkool problem with their dates. There's going to be an Alpe d'Huez handicap race on Tuesday that Adam could perhaps set you up with a start time based on your fitness level if your interested. More info about that probably posted up here on Monday.

Ok, I'll look out for that.

I might just try Alpe d'Huez tomorrow, well today actually. I tried it in the real world a few years back, and got up at 1h 4m. The heat was brutal. Some places the stones at the wall gets heated up by the sun, making some 60 degrees C oven sections. Never thought getting back to 40 degrees C could feel like a cool breeze, but that was how it felt.
