Sorry to derail this thread, but I've a few questions to ask and don't want to start another thread,
I'm thinking of buying a bkool, my LBS has it for £349. As a tech novice it is easy to set up and use, also how much is the subscription and what does it give you? Can you use it and get your monies worth without subscribing?

Is it a bkool pro or classic? Both are easy to set up and use just as long as you have a decent internet connection. Its £8 per month or cheaper if you pay for a year. I got 3 months free with mine through wiggle.

For £349 you are probably looking at the standard BKool trainer and not the Pro, but I could be wrong. Worth checking though. The majority of us have the Pro Trainer, and on the whole, for the money, they are a useful, and fully engaging piece of kit.
It is simple to set up, even I managed it, you will have no issues there. A subscription is advisable, as this unlocks all the cool interactive stuff, which is its main attraction.

It's this one!

Happy days! Snap it up! It is a great way to train indoors. A lot more engaging than staring at a wall, or Jeremy Kyle, while you spin. There are literally thousands of routes to choose from, and there will always be someone of a suitable ability against which you can pitch yourself.
That is a good price, especially for the level of technology you are receiving. But hey, what suits one doesn't necessarily suit another. I am certainly happy with mine. If you have another £500 lying around, get the Kickr. A superior piece of kit, with a befitting price tag.
And yes, sorry, that is the Pro version, not the Classic.

Sore knees today after a longish ride yesterday - well for me anyway. I still plan doing the staggered race tomorrow but I will see how the knees feel, I may have to withdraw during the event. Good luck to all.

So here it is, my new toy, built it myself (not yet tested). Possibly a mountain goats machines.. that is when i eventually get my ass back inside!

Very nice indeed, that's some chunky tyres on it!

Much nicer than my CX bike, which I've turned into a winter hack with full length mad guards. It doesn't take too long to turn it back into what it should be though!

This ones my dream build, i was lucky enough to get all the parts and frame from a mate who looks after the logistics for a Specialized/sram CX team and sells all the non used kit off end of season for a very reasonable price.

I got mine from Amazon.....it's been at £349 on there for quite a while and you've also got the comfort of their returns policy if anything goes wrong.

Except.....I now see it's £329 on Amazon!!!!

Wish I had found this forum when I first bought the Bkool pro. Been out on my bike for the first time in months and managed a string of PB's on Strava on one of the routes I usually ride on the Bkool so it has definitely had an effect.
What tyres would people recommend? I am currently using the Tacx Blue trainer tyre, which seems ok, though I haven't tried anything else.
