3 of our team dropped down to Des Canonge and Port de Valdemossa. They did stop for lunch but got back to the hotel around 6.45.

If you're going to take in Sa Calobra as well, then:

1. Good luck
2. You're crazy
3. I'd take some lights with you!

But enjoy anyway!!

We nearly turned left to do Sa Calobra after Puig Major, but I did it the day before so didn't bother.......

Uncle Vinny's elixir no doubt?

Maybe, or maybe not, only the future will tell. Better ask Crash Froome about illegal substances, or legal substances in illegal amounts. Maybe he should give some of it to Cav, as he seemed to struggle going up the C&C today.

I knew you would bite like that @Brusgaard but fair response.
Froome was 37 seconds down over how many km. Tom is in the driving seat!

The crash from Froome was on his reconnaissance ride on the route. Actually forgot about all about the Giro starting today, so I didn't watch it. ^_^

Will be following the race tomorrow and Sunday, hoping for a stage win for one of the Danish riders, possibly Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo) or Mads Würtz Schmidt (Katusha-Alpecin).

If it's due to "elixir", it's not Vinny's.
The years when he was on pro conti teams, he won virtually every race he entered. I was actually suprised he had to wait to the Vuelta before his break through.

Looking for a Yorkshire report from @Jim Brown

How do..

We arrived in the land of milk and honey last night, to be greeted with lovely warming sunshine - something I haven’t seen for yonks as it doesn’t reach west Scotland.

Ride number on bike front, ride number pinned to jersey, timing chip stuck to helmet . Bike performed well last week in Kinross, so no need to mess about with it.

Got to be in Leeds by 6,15am tomorrow which is about a 50 minute drive. Off at 7.02am.

80miles-ish. Over 6000 ft of Yorkshire hills. Pub and family/friends identified for calorie replacement on my return.

I know its easy to be distracted by images of men on bicycles posing around with race teams and cameras, seeing who can get from A to B the quickest, on your telly, but its time for you to think about the very real world of virtual racing on your turbo trainer at home, which experts these days are saying is the new "out in the real world".
Anyway, Stage 1 Chain Gang re-run is at 5pm with a 10 minute warm up. See you there. :becool:
