I didn't even think about the switch off trick more, I thought, sign of a dodgy turbo, i.e. the resistance not changing when it should.
I'm pretty sure your watts plummet to zero everyone you switch on if you do that 'cheat'.
No I don't think they do if you switch back on before they drop to zero

Great time TT... actually a phenominal ride!
Jacob rode only 9 seconds quicker on the stage last NC so that is really really fast!
I think you've actually been planning this all year to peak at the right time. Chris Froome in disguise? If you need an inhaler Dr Whorty can help...

It looks like you had a sub 30 minute ride last year. Are you well enough to make a run?

Yep he dragged my sorry @ss round last year! ^_^

It was close to what I was expecting too to be honest. Just from using the PM on the road. I was suprised how closely matched the cadence was though. In the past BKOOL was putting my cadence at 40/50 rpm when I was spinning close to 80. Maybe that’s been adjusted with an update.
It would be interesting to know if the power is more accurate when the cadence is taken from a sensor, not predicted by BKOOL. Personally, the actual level of power is unimportant, so long as it is consistent and increases when I put in more effort!

It should make no difference however this is bkool! Everything should be based on the speed the trainer is going based on rider weight and slope resistance. Pedal slower and the trainer slows down.

Not this year Randy. Unfortunately my right leg is still substantially smaller than the left! (Reminds me of a cricket commentator once saying, "the bowlers got two short legs, one of them square...")
As that relates to a loss of about 70 to 100 bkool watts I'd be left miles behind with little in the tank for stages 2 and 3! This year I'm aiming for weight loss and increased fitness to have a better chance next year. If I can also get back to leg pressing 450 kg I know I'm back strength wise! Beefcake beefcake!

Not really being fair to yourself! I think I spent most of my energy on stage 2 cheering you on though whilst I sat near the back!

Mate there’s no way I get to stage 2 so fresh without you and aaac towing me through stage 1. If I had any shame I’d be embarrassed. Luckily for me I have no shame at all!.
Then stage 2 gravity did for you, as I was getting sprinkled with dust and a heart rate I haven’t hit before or since!

I really hope your recovery goes well. Obviously for your sake, but also because the numbers you can hit are completely mental to mere mortals!

Andy’s seems to be getting stronger and stronger too and turning into watt machine in his own right. IF BKOOL get there act together, and Andy gets an even playing field on his kickr. I can imagine you two being absolute power houses in future nations cups

I think we'l be fairly strong this year. Rod is proving to be a strong rider and much better on the hills than I was. There is also a lot of newbies and the likes of @Whorty pushing for positions which is great to see. Hopefully when 7pm does not sit in the middle of children's bedtimes I can start joining in the live evening rides. Can anyone lend @CXRAndy a bkool trainer and we can see his true power...

Definitely. It’s been very encouraging that lots of guys have been joining up. It’s a shame Geoff isn’t around at the moment to set up a handicap league.

Tommy I can't figure out your ride. You started really easily, hit some big numbers in the middle section and then looks like you coasted to the line and yet put in a very impressive time.
