If we have a similar set of sessions again I would love to get a 5 man Chaingang going in the flatter session and similar in the Velodrome and have all 5 guys come across the line as a team. Either that or towing Tommy Watt and Jacob up to Pep's wheel so they take him in the sprint.
If I manage somehow to make team I know that when @AAAC 76C and @BILL S put the power down on the flat or downhill then there is no way I'll be able to hold a wheel. If the are points for the first five finishers then I think it better to maximise our chances of getting people into the top 5. I'd be happy to do a domestique role and bury myself for as long as possible to save other's legs for the end à la kyrienka or stannard.

Last year I think it was latest Trainer FW and no ERG and that was about it.
There were certainly no hydration (Bridgy), dodgy climbing finish watts (TT) or performing under par (Bill) rules.
There was a rule to have fun and enjoy the event and I think all of us Cycle-chatters stuck wholeheartedly to that rule 100%.

You’re right AAAC. And fair play too because I think this is the best or most healthy conclusion to draw. (Bit of a wise old sod at times ain’t ya!). We had an absolute blast last year. It was glorious, and we came last! I would like to hear Pep’s take on things, but not at the cost of us having fun.

Last year the points went from 15 for the winner down to one point for the guy who came last. My target was 3 points for the 3 events

Re: Nations Cup, I feel I should clear up a couple of things.

Not everything that was discussed about the Nations Cup was done publicly on this forum so although you didn't see it, much was discussed in emails between myself, Jacob and Pep (he does speak English!) before last year's events and I can honestly say there was a very healthy attitude to fairness on ALL sides as far as I could see. Several things like not riding in an on/off power fashion and not using ERG mode were agreed as not allowed.

I have been among the first to query some of Pep's Summer/Winter Cup rides (flat power graph at high speed for example) but I saw nothing that gave me any concern in the Nations Cup.

Pep came across as a very nice guy who was as keen as any of us that the Nations Cup was both a success, and an event that was as fair as possible, and I hope the same will be the case from everyone who takes part again this year. Be assured the Danish organisers are just as experienced as us about the potential Bkool anomolies and "cheats" and will most likely spot anything that's amiss! And they will be right on the case in doing all they can to ensure the event is as fair as possible again this year.

Final point - sometimes an extraordinarily good Bkool (and Zwift!) performance is not a rider consciously trying to cheat, but a glitch in the equipment or software - we've probably all experienced this at times. It's great that we're usually honest and open about it amongst ourselves, but we have also let our "special" rides stand in summer/winter cup sometimes. We have context to this from our discussions here which is lacking for people like Pep who don't post here. Obviously Bkool themselves should do MUCH more to try and combat the inadvertent side of this but as we know they are either very slow, unwilling or clueless about it!

I have to admit, that I have done this in the past, often for some reason it exhibits itse;f when I'm doing a FTP Test, but that is easy to spot, and I just abandon the test. Oddly it's also happened on rides where I set a new FTP value, the first couple of times I thought it was me having a really good day, but since being here I'm more aware of the issue, and usually restart the turbo once I have logged in to BSIM (If it works for Zwift it should apply to BSIM .... Probably  ). Even so on one of the CG rides recently I hit what I consider to be a very flattering FTP value (328W!!!), was that Bkool fairy dust? Was I having a good day? Was it caused by drafting other riders? Was it a combination of all three? I have no way of knowing, I know that it was hard work, so I discount the fairy dust, especially from having reset the trainer before hand. If it happens during the NC is it a freak result?

I don't know the answer but I'll take part just to have fun and feed the competetive monster that lives inside. ... What's to stop a team putting a ringer in? A Schleck, or a Voigt for example ... How would you know? I'm sure a G Thomas would be interested if he wasn't busy

Paul,
Post of the day:okay:

Bob,
Arse kiss of the day:okay:

Seriously... even though I’m probably going to try and qualify for the nations cup I don’t have as much invested in BKOOL as you guys. So if it’s not an issue for you then it’s not for me to keep the debate going...

Tommy - I have no problem at all with the debate and with you or anyone else openly challenging things/people. As long as it's done sensibly I think it's healthy - and probably essential with virtual racing. I just wanted to add some extra perspective that's all. I have nothing invested in Bkool either except for the enjoyment of racing you guys and a wish - like most of us - that they'd get their act together a bit more!

Not sure what the problem is but it seems that the latest Chaingang league is not active yet. It should have been active on Monday but it still just shows as being Scheduled. I can't think of any reason for this and don't know if its a bkool problem or something I've done.
Any suggestions? Looking at the scheduled sessions I can't see any faults in dates or anything but it'd be good if some of you chaps could also have a look and see if you can see anything out of place.
I think for this nations Cup Qualifying league if there is a problem we can't identify, we can do the scoring manually if necessary. Could be that we have to do tomorrows live race as a non league ride and keep a note of everyone's times.
