I had a massive cramp in yesterday my right calf, damn it feels good . I should start to understand that i am 53 that i should take easily, no chance to be a professional. Need to learn that lesson someday.
Yes, but not yet

Hello. Found you via bkool. Did actually join many moons ago but neglected to post. Would love to join some rides soon in the correct time zone. Have requested to join the bkool group. Many thanks.

Sean

Welcome Sean, an Admin will get back to you shortly.

PS: Do I detect the use of a Mobile Phone whilst riding on the Queen's Highways in your photo.
The punishment for this offence in Cyclechat is 3 back to back climbs of Alp d'Huez.

A man that likes the feeling of calf cramps!
You'll do well on a turbo.
Cramp is more to do with lack of
a) stretching/warming up
b) dehydration
c) stretching/ warming down.
Sort those three things out and you should be OK to continue punishing your body for a good few years yet.
For me I swear by the SIS 'Go Hydro Tablets', start taking on the fluid during a good half hour warm-up and throughout the session and you should be OK and then stretch out after you have warmed down for 5 to 10 minutes.

Oh, and alcohol.. a steady intake of alcohol.

Jim, we drink to numb the pain not to stop it.
Plus it helps us forget how much it hurt last time in order that we don't mind doing it again.

Good points those better warm-up and cooling down and ofcourse better dehydration before actual training session. I skip that way too often. Thx for advice. Maybe bit of salt before session is not bad either, depending metabolism.
