PS

A lot of Team Cyclechat riders at the front of the Chain Gang as well as the Summer Cup.

Well, if you want the top spot back, you'll have to beat Morten "Museeuw"s 15:10. I'm sure Jacob will beat that too, when he gets back home from Italy.

Hasn't Jacob already set a time? Or is that a different Jacob on BKool?

Yes, he did, but having done it in 14-something last year, I'm sure he'll give it anoher go. Should have been in the live race at 7 pm today, but his car broke down, and he had to go rent a car, so that he can attend the mountain TT tomorrow.

Well look at that he table is showing @bridgy as first, must have started a nano second later than @BILL S.

And look at the average Watts @AAAC and @bridgy at 360 watts and @BILL S nice and snug at 320.
Poor old Steve 3 minutes behind at 375 watts.
Safety in numbers!

Well that's odd! So what you say about starting slightly later - does that mean if you cock up the start and get stuck on the start line, the clock doesn't start until you actually start moving do you think?

Morten Bundgaard Pedersen
Perhaps I should have done the live race.
Well done Mr Bottomfarm.
I'm afraid I am not going to kill myself taking back 14 seconds.

His 1000 watt plus 76 kph (47 mph) finish probably did the trick.
Looks like Alberto is only 2 seconds behind him as well.

I'm doomed Captain Mannering!

Yes, appears that way. I rode with Jim the other day. I went on the 'b' of bang, and on the final sprint I definitely got over the finish line ahead of Jim, but BKool gave him the win by 0.1 seconds  Seems that you time starts from when you cross the start line. Could be a tactic for you faster riders .... start a few seconds later than the rest and use the slower riders to draft the first few miles. On the organised SC races, where there are 30-40 riders, this could be a bonus for you :okay:

Yes, Jacob beat me in a winter cup stage even though I finished in front if him!

You on the other hand have a really low avg. heart rate. Must have a big heart, or is it normal for your age?

I have a really big heart, ask my wife.

My max HR is now probably 168 or there abouts and the effort that takes me up to that is kind of exponential.
I had plenty of micro rests tonight sitting in Bridgy's wheel or backing off to keep Bill in tow so my HR didn't really start climbing proper until my big effort near the end but then we dropped Bill so I backed off again.
However once I go over 154 it seldom comes back down much unless I really sit up.
On Tuesday I didn't get much over 160 bpm but I was blowing up big time.
I have not been taking my Asprin and Statins properly this last week as I am experimenting with some other problems I am experiencing to see id it is the meds so it is possible my blood has thickened and is in turn is keeping my HR down but in a bad way hence my legs feeling very heavy from the get-go.
