Tuesday evening is a no for me. Have a job interview late afternoon, then have plans with HID in the evening. Thursday might be OK though but 7 o'clock likely too late for me. Whilst I'm out of work I tend to try and ride by 5 o'clock so I have time still to cook HID's tea.

Thursday you can ride their race at either 10 am, 5 and 7 pm. If that doesn't suit you, they have one at 1 am Friday too. :-)

Mark Beaumont has just completed day one of his round the world cycle https://www.strava.com/athletes/8288853

Only 247 miles - a couple of hours sleep and the same again tomorrow... and again and again for the next 79 days..

Awsome..
He should ride at our latitude(57). He could get a lot more sleep.

Wow, that does sound like a bit of a hard day out on the bike! Hopefully when you're fully recovered you'll be stronger for it and be able to take some positives from the experience!

Sure, but I did the same thing last year. Only back then, I did ride together with 2 other guys to the finish and didn't have any real cramps. This years winner was more than 8 minutes slower than last years, on the same route, so I'm sure they fought the wind as well. ^_^ The first 6 riders were within 3 seconds, 1-3 all at 2:56:37 and 4-6 all at 2:56:40.

Are these live BKool races? Cool, didn't know they did these. Will try to jump on the 5pm (UK time?) race.

edit: where do you find out when the live races are scheduled?
