Yes, take him/her to Zwift where the competition and racing is easier  Best they stay away from Bkool as they might struggle against the big boys :reading::popcorn::rofl:

Only for Bkool pro users

It helps, but shouldn't result in 1000 watt power figures. Either dodgy figures, or BKool algorithm played up.

Checked on what trainer he's using and it's a Classic so you would expect slightly higher climb watts and some power over-swings but not such a dramatic difference.
Doesn't matter really I was just hoping to find a reason for his 'unusual' stats just out of interest.

Ignore that.

Having read Bridgy's post now he hit the nail on the head. He had a trainer issue and ran at a constant actual resistance hence the displayed power be relative to the speed and slope.

Never mind Active 3! You went straight by that and Active 4 to end up at Active 5 :bravo:

Did you succeed @Whorty ??

Why did you quit 1 minute too early?
I did - I averaged 301 watts over the 30 minutes. My legs were jelly so instead of risking losing my ave watts fall below 300 I quit as soon as I finished the 30 mins needed for the FTP.

You are far too strong for me to keep up with, but thanks for dangling just ahead of me (after you had already lapped me ) to give me someone to chase :okay:

Yup. Well chuffed :becool:

It certainly helps that @CXRAndy pumped up my tyres to 95 PSI .... I was running at around 45 PSI before the DD (my track pump is clearly buggered as it thought I was at 80 but I couldn't get it higher). Having pumped up tyres (and my TUE  ) has given me a real boost.:wahhey:

Thanks for the encouragement @rob01792 , I was getting tired towards the end of the 30 mins, that's for sure.

Well done Sir.

Try 140 PSI or whatever the max PSI shown on he tyre wall is and you will fly.

The BKool road is like a constant 2.5 cm radius bump so you are constantly compressing the tyre as you ride so a bit more air than you use on the road helps a great deal.
When I let my tyre down from 130 to 80 to handicap myself I thought I was riding in treacle.

I found this video on You Tube about Tyre pressures and the losses. It's long but it helps explain the need for higher pressures on the turbo.
