Heat i guess

wait till you hear my doh!

Here my turbo driven by a battery drill.
At first I thought my turbo was knackered as my power increased with slope driven by the same drill.
Then I realised my drill has a max RPM as well as Torque so all this proved is that:
a) my drill works
b) the battery was running out at the end
c) my drill dead stops and acts like an impact driver and guess who didn't do a check torque because he rushed out the door to pick up HID

So at 7:08 I'm warming up in the session thumb up rear when all of a sudden the start beeps sound.
Panic, slam on brakes, wheel stops almost dead so does the turbo apart from the flywheel.
Flywheel undoes flywheel nut and then threads itself off of the turbo spindle and shoots across the floor hitting the turbo wheel clamp arm on the way smashing off one of the magnets.
I put it all back together thinking that I will get under speed readings because there are now only 3 magnets passes per rev but the turbo must measure the phase lag and ignore at least one non present magnet.

Killed myself catching up with Brushguard and had a rest followed by a final dig over the last few km.

I did try dragging JIm with me, so had a short rest there as well, but he was not playing!

I was fekking boiling so Bill must have been baking in his attic

What happened to you Bill?

Earlier I did some work in the garden and had a really nasty dizzy spell. I had to lie down or I'd have fallen over. It was a bit scary TBH but had no other sensations apart from the lack of blood flowing to my head. Had an hour to recover before the ride so was feeling fairly normal by 7pm. Was curious to know if it was a one off, but it turned out that it wasn't. As soon as I started to feel faint again I stopped. Hopefully just a strange turn and back in action on Saturday.

And there's me thinking you'd just decided to take it easy tonight - I should have known better!! Impressive emergency repairing!

That sounds pretty unpleasant Bill - take it easy, and maybe go and get yourself checked out at the docs?
