well done bill almost a minute quicker

feking hot again
Yes feking hot so the air con was switched on half an hour earlier than last time. Minute quicker was probably because I spent longer on your tail. Couldn't believe how quick your ghost passed me near the end but then you had 1000w vs my 300. My goal had been to beat your ghost using the fact that it had been going back and forth on various missions so I though I had a chance. Wrong!!

At the back @Whorty and @rob01792 were very strong. I couldn't gain on Whorty and had to kill myself to stay 40 seconds ahead of Rob.

Hello to everyone,
Update.
I hijacked your forum last week because I thought I had spotted someone I used to know (AAAC 76C), It turns out it was him, and we used to race together in the 70s (I am in his Avatar and him also in mine).
Anyway.....yesterday I bit the bullet and ordered a BKool Pro.
So please treat me gently, as I may need some advice as I am a newbie to smart turbo, and hopefully in the next couple of weeks I should be up and running, and shall decide how I want to use it.
I only ever raced as schoolboy and junior, and the last few months I have done a few miles on the road pottering around, but like the idea of the Turbo to try to up my fitness.

This sounds like a ruse. Pottering around, just like AAAC

First rule... Never go too fast, it could be dangerous . maintain a sensible pace.

Surprised me as well how quick I came by me, I thought we were going to hold me off.
The 900 watts was just a Bkool over-swing though

PS Dave, don't let them know that we only got in the team because we had our own bikes.
And look at you with your fancy gold tubed Alan Aluminium frame in the mid 70's.

Welcome Dave. Looking forward to getting my 4rse kicked by you with or without AAAC76C having to come back and tow you past me. You do at least have the psychological advantage of being an AAAC which strikes fear into the hearts of all bkoolers. First thing you need to do is get a bkool account and join the group called "CycleChat Chain Gang". That way you'll be racing against some of us on Thursdays and Saturdays, although things have quietened down somewhat with the warmth and light. Probably we need you more than you need us to help spice up our leagues a bit.

Yep, that's why I had 2 years in the junior road race back in 77 and 78 birthday not til June. I won it in 77 ,so was a marked man next year and was nobbled down the back of the course,,as i didn't have you to protect me as you were a senior in 78.

I am sure I wont be a match for the original AAAC 76C....although 40 years ago as a 2up we had a couple of average rides...

Amazing what influence wind direction has. My TT today compared to last year was poor in time but not effort. well it felt that way. Despite the effort, I was over a minute slower. Last year had a northerly tail wind, today it had a southerly cross head wind on the return leg. Also lost little edge with endurance riding, more power training after DD. Overall I cant complain that much I held a high 'heart rate and felt there wasn't much left in the tank as I rolled back into the HQ-Oh well

That's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to training more with a power meter Andy. Not because I'm ever going to compete seriously with anyone other than myself, but I like the idea of measuring effort in comparison to variables like wind etc. Have you thought about getting one? You'd probably get more out of it than I will if you're racing.
