I washed it off in the sea of course.

I see. What about the seaweed?

Bridgy has put a nice ghost up for you to chase... great time.
To be honest I spent a lot of that ride in the draft of the ghost of the guy who's in first place. My plan was to drop him with a couple of miles to go, but I failed! So plan b was to beat him with a sprint finish, but I failed at that as well even though his ghost couldn't respond to me!

Happy with that but don't think that time will bother the really quick guys who haven't done it yet

I'm going to give up on the Handicap Chase for a while, the numbers have really fallen away for months, and now it is light into the evenings I don't see us getting enough riders to make it worthwhile. Perhaps we can revisit in the Autumn?

This means that tonight, and Tuesday evenings in general are available for another league, or one of the Bkool organised ones perhaps?

Thanks for all your efforts on this Geoff. My work unfortunately conspired against me too much this year, but when I did get to join I really enjoyed them.

That's fair enough Geoff, and I think you're right about numbers which are increasingly low and won't be helped by the lighter evenings and nicer weather.

I will echo what Whorty has said above and say a big thanks to you for putting the efforts in to run the handicap races which were always such good fun to ride . I hope they will return....^_^

I am giving Zwift a try currently alongside Bkool - which I still have a year's subscription left on. So if the chaingang league continues with enough people I'll still try and participate in this (when I'm not out in the real world!)

Geoff,
I no longer subscribe to bkool but I wanted to thank you for the time and effort you have put into making bsim understandable as well as the effort in running the handicap and making the recordings

Now that your health is improving and you are getting more time on the bike I wonder whether You can be enticed to try Zwift at some point perhaps at the end of the summer? There are lists of sub2w/pkg groups/rides and whether you just wanted to ride without the hassle of organising or if you wanted to set up group rides I am sure you would find lots of willing riders and probably some of us too:okay: Closed group rides are coming so handicap or tortoise and hare rides up Watopia or wherever are certainly something I am looking forward to this autumn.

Thanks again Geoff.

Cheers Geoff, as my fitness improved I really started to enjoy these handicap events, and especially cycling with others, even if they caught me near the line. Also the 'chat' surrounding them.

Thanks again

Thanks for all your efforts Geoff

At their height the handicap races were brilliant and lots of (painful) fun. The team handicaps last year were particuly good and I can't thank you enough for all your efforts which have really helped me to improve my fitness.

It seems like our time on bkool is drawing to a close with increasing speed. Their fault entirely... so it's surely only a matter of time before we're all racing again on another platform :hugs:

Thanks from me too Geoff on organising these rides.

Being a latecomer to the handicap it's a shame I haven't been able to experience it more. But this evening I think I'd only have participated if the promised rain arrives, otherwise I too will be out in the real world in the lanes of Cheshire. I guess I, like a lot of people, would only be a regular competitor in the handicap during the winter months.

I guess it's back to scrabbling around in Bkool for some worthwhile group rides, or looking at another platform....

Likewise, thoroughly enjoyed the handicap races. If the timing works I'd happily rejoin them in the future. Thanks for pulling it all together Geoff!

And for those who particularly like the format, there's handicaps on zwift as well. Look for "cat and mouse" and "goats and bears" organized by ODZ. I haven't tried one yet (timing is terrible for me). There may be others.

I was up for tonite but now it will be challenge Bridgy time in way of a practice for Thursdays Live and probably final BKool WC ride until the Summer Cup.

I'll be posting my thoughts later.

Well I found my own fun tonight, similar to that when I first got the Bkool a year or so ago. I warmed up in the velodrome (which I think is great) and found a friend :becool: who helped me set a few pb's - Thank you, then I cycled the last WC stage with a few like minded ghosts and a few bots - just like the old days. With a punk rock sound track I spent an hour and half with my thoughts.

In summary, I'm renewing.

Here's to old virtual friends and new ones still to come..

AAAC. Any chance that the Chain gangers can join you for the final final WC on Thursday? What time were you planning to do it?
I'll set up a new chain gang league next week if we have a few interested in keeping it going.
