Strictly speaking, not yet-due soon- BUT you can download a hack that allows you to do so. All the info is on zwiftblog.
Seems very limiting then ... not sure I'd like that. I love the fact I can choose random rides in BKool, sometimes a hill, sometimes a flatter ride, always different. I'm also lucky I rarely have any system issues, and as a slowie I don't think I lose much in the system. But I'm someone who compares my progress against my own historical fitness. Races against others is fun, but I don't take it too seriously (well, apart from @Jim Brown :boxing: ha ha)

LIVING THE DREAM
I'd certainly prefer to be outdoors as well. Weather is still crap here (we're measuring snow in feet this year -- it was enough to rip the snow guard off the roof of the garage last week) and if I walk in the backyard (with snowshoes) I'm level with the 2nd floor windows.

But even when weather is good, finding time for a real ride between work and the kids is tough, so I'm in the virtual world more than the real world.

And without snow shoes?

Good training, snow shoes, 25 yard intervals with full fighting order and a GPMG really gets the old ticker going.

I'm not precious about coming last in a competition but it is nice to have a chance of winning something so a handicap or best improvement in the season may be a good idea.
:welcome:
And don't worry about coming last ... there are quite a few of us tail end Charlies who will always be following waaaay behind

We do also have a TT handicap which is good fun. Us slower riders set off in intervals with the fastest riders leaving last (so handicapped by time). The aim is to all get to the finish around the same time. Very interesting for us rabbits to be chased down by the hounds / @Daddy Pig s :surrender:

Hello, just joining the thread to say I'm interested in the group but I don't know how involved I will be able to get. I bought a BKool turbo trainer a couple of years ago and despite the occasional glitches etc I like the system and Bkool. My wife and I opened a cycle cafe in Ipswich 18 months ago and I put the turbo trainer there with an additional log-in account, then bought another, so I have two, one linked to a projector (scarily immersive on downhills) and the other to a computer. I run regular sessions on Tuesday and Friday night and after anyone attending has had their session I take my turn. I could possibly find another evening to participate in rides.

My performance has remained in the Active category with average watts over an hour in the 240 - 280 range. I see the chap who invited me AAAC (Team Cyclechat) is at the 400 level so I would have to set out the previous day to be in with a chance of winning a stage. Nonetheless I am interested because I am keen to be in shape for time trials etc this year.

I echo what is said about publicity etc and I think BKool let themselves down. The concept is good, they just need to think a bit harder about developing the system to meet user needs.

Looking at Bills' message above. there needs to be some explanation, perhaps in a brief guide etc. A Nations Cup qualifying league sounds intriguing but I don't have a clue what that might be or indeed reference to mountain goats?. The concept of a chaingang I understand on the road and I have managed to wheelsuck on the Bkool system for a while, but organising a rotation of remote turbo trainers must be a feat in itself.

So to conclude, happy to give whatever support I can. Let me know.
:welcome:
Looking forward to seeing you on the chaingang/handicap rides at some point.

Speaking of coming last, I'm back after months away. When I say back, I mean right at the back! :hello:

How do you get Team Cyclechat after your name on the league table?
Edit your profile setting under nickname. This will change what is shown on the league tab once they update but that may take a week or two knowing bkool!

:welcome: Cliff. If you stick around on here for a bit much more of what we waffle on about will make (more) sense. Tge Nations Cup was a recent competition between riders from GB, Denmark and Spain, and the Mountain Goats was another league organised from here that focused on big climbs - don't think it's currently running.

Look forward to seeing you in some races!

Thanks for the summary! I'd like to give the Tuesday handicap a go. Is there a particular ride I should do so that a good starting handicap can be calculated?
:welcome: @peterob. The handicaps are worked out by our Bkool guru @gbrown so he should be able to advise what the next upcoming handicap stage is going to be so you can set a time and get a handicap calculated. Look forward to riding with you

Thanks all for the welcome:thumbsup:. I've not found it too easy in the short time I've been using Bkool to find live events with many users involved, so a regular Tuesday slot here would suit me perfectly. Yep my Bkool nickname is the same (peterob).
