Bob, much as I'd like to join you in Zwift so you could show me the virtual sights of Boxhill, I'm still rather occupied with bkool. Unfortunately I think it's an age problem in that I can't recover quick enough to make good use of both experiences. Zwift sounds good but I am set in my ways, and while I got very close to jumping ship when the new simulator came out (because I hated it), I actually prefer it now to the old one. Are you still able to get onto bkool or have you cancelled your subscription? You've implied that you still have it if you'd consider a Mountaingoat ride, but I'm thinking those are a bit boring for most Cyclechatters these days. Format of the Nations Cup was far more interesting if you get my drift. Might have to see if there's enough interest to get something set up at a somewhat more amateurish level.
Tempting as it is to get an Angelina/AAAC poster blown up and stuck in my loft to photograph and post up here, I really would be better off having a bit of a spin instead.
Bill, I have a week or 2 left on bkool. Mountain rides are more of an attraction because the NEO is not so handicapped as on flats. And i have Ventoux this summer to train for. But i understand what you are saying. Also, no disrespect at all to you guys who would still slaughter me on zwift, but the watts and speeds are a bit bonkers and unless i get that advantage too on bkool there is no point, however great the camaraderie and banter, in my paying and staying. However much i want to. And one of the attractions of zwift is group recovery rides, training and racing and bkool is not there yet. Perhaps they will get their act together for this winter.
You will spin faster with the poster to stare at and take your mind off the pain!
