Bob, much as I'd like to join you in Zwift so you could show me the virtual sights of Boxhill, I'm still rather occupied with bkool. Unfortunately I think it's an age problem in that I can't recover quick enough to make good use of both experiences. Zwift sounds good but I am set in my ways, and while I got very close to jumping ship when the new simulator came out (because I hated it), I actually prefer it now to the old one. Are you still able to get onto bkool or have you cancelled your subscription? You've implied that you still have it if you'd consider a Mountaingoat ride, but I'm thinking those are a bit boring for most Cyclechatters these days. Format of the Nations Cup was far more interesting if you get my drift. Might have to see if there's enough interest to get something set up at a somewhat more amateurish level.
Tempting as it is to get an Angelina/AAAC poster blown up and stuck in my loft to photograph and post up here, I really would be better off having a bit of a spin instead.

^_^
Bill, I have a week or 2 left on bkool. Mountain rides are more of an attraction because the NEO is not so handicapped as on flats. And i have Ventoux this summer to train for. But i understand what you are saying. Also, no disrespect at all to you guys who would still slaughter me on zwift, but the watts and speeds are a bit bonkers and unless i get that advantage too on bkool there is no point, however great the camaraderie and banter, in my paying and staying. However much i want to. And one of the attractions of zwift is group recovery rides, training and racing and bkool is not there yet. Perhaps they will get their act together for this winter.

You will spin faster with the poster to stare at and take your mind off the pain!:okay:

Could make the saddle and seat position a bit uncomfortable though

I could furnish you with a replacement.
Can't send it until Wednesday though.

Does surprise me to hear the thread is worn, are you sure it's not locked against the end of the thread or spinning on the grub screw.
If you get that chatter I expect it's sticking on the end of the thread. If this is the case you may want to put a couple of small washers under the stepper motor flanges where it mounts on the turbo body with two screws.
AAAC,

Because I used American Express to buy my Pro in 2014 they automatically add an extra year to the warranty.
So thanks again for offer but it looks like I'll be getting a new unit. They said I may have to send them the old unit.

I'm never going to be good enough to join a nations cup, but the idea of a cycle chat version would be interesting. Maybe split the teams with something like AAAC, me, Andy in one team. Bridgy, Jim, Bob another team etc. So each team has a mix of fast, medium and slow. Kind of like the TTT teams but each team is mixed ability.
I like the idea of that @Whorty - could the teams be picked on geographic grounds I wonder? Eg South West, Midlands South East etc. to give it a bit more meaning? I appreciate we'd also have to try and make the teams roughly even in the mix of rider speed though too....

No probs, as long as you have not voided the warranty by confirming the fault.

In the theatre tonite so not a promising night compared with yesterday especially when it's £8.20 for a glass of Malbec!

Edit. I always have to snigger when I hear 'American Express' because of some of the jokes back in the day.

Another thought:

We've been struggling for numbers to get enough teams to run the TTT recently - I wonder if we could invite our new Spanish and Danish friends to submit a team? As long as we all used the same course in our own leagues for a couple of rides to get the handicap times it could work - if @gbrown was up for it of course. Unless there's a Danish or Spanish version of Geoff (unlikely!) they probably haven't raced that format before?

Geographical area suits me - puts me with AAAC..... Quite fancy drafting behind his cute butt

Edit: for those reading this months later, he currently has a cutie for an avatar!

Speaking about TTT, who's up for something tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7pm? Give the new comms a whirl?

I'm up for something but got no comms to whirl (yet).

Do I just need one of those weird looking things that clips onto one ear. Looks to only be about a tenner.
