For what it's worth (probably not much) I have grabbed the Moving Times and here are the "corrected" results, showing what might have happened if everyone had started bang on time... Team finishing order would not have changed, but it would have been damn close for 2nd!

Moving Time + Start Time

Moving Times only - these show how much benefit can be gained from drafting and also how well Rod did pretty much out on his own.

DP/Bridgy. For whatever reason I really struggle going downhill. Pushing a constant 110 RPM plus sets my heart racing and I quickly tire.
Conversely Bridgy seemed to suffer when the gradient went above 2 or 3 percent. One second we would all be ticking along a 340 watts and when the steeper incline started Bridgy dropped back and I would have to drop my power to about 260 watts. Perhaps this is what LB is seeing as well.
I did the downhill Jacobs Cup course straight after and I struggled to average of 310 watts so I think that I should step back in that stage and let DP and Bridgy forge ahead with whoever and concentrate on helping the rest of the team.
My time will be on the uphill session and then I think we may need to elect a free-stiler for the track who can go with the leaders and the rest of us team pursuit it to the finish and then depending on the possibility of taking higher places individuals who feel strong can atempt to make up some places.

We really could do with comm's though!
I really struggled with those 3% inclines today. My legs were really aching! I was also showing sub 300 watts AAAC but I wouldn't describe it as me dropping to that - I was having to push REALLY hard just to maintain that speed/watts every time there was any uphill slope. I'm not sure whether it was something to do with bkool or just my achey legs but it did seem a lot harder than normal every time it went uphill

How easy were you finding the downhills.
There was one point where we seemed linked together but other times DP and yourself would pass me and I just could not latch on, most frustrating.
I even swore at him in frustration near the end but luckily he didn't hear me.
That bit at the beginning had my heart going but had it not been for my duff start I think we would have done a lot better.

I think the problem is that I would speed up a little but that would propel me from say 55kph to 75 kph and overshoot you in trying to help. In the last km I just had a laugh and blasted about 950 watts before easing off, just to give Whorty a scare!

Mostly I was letting the blue auto speed do it's job. A couple of times I did some brief spinning to get the speed up even more, then leg it go blue again but only to try and keep at similar speed to DP. I assume the difference in downhill speed is just due to weight differences?

Now you know what its like when I'm trying to keep up with you on a flat course!

The problem is very clear if you look at my last km to the top of the hill (km 13.8 to 14.8).
I was standing up pushing close to max, but averaged something like 240 watt ( I had a brand new GP 4000 II S 25 mm tire on and it was much more sticky on the +5%, so nearly no slippage there ).
Put that in contrast to 265 watt avg. for the whole session, even though I did a lot of downhill freeriding.

Geoff, if it helps with the numbers then we could do the TTT on Saturdays instead of the chaingang re-run. That would free up Tuesdays for anyone wanting to do the WC. I had previously thought about having a WC ride on the Saturday but doing the TTT then works just as well.
We'd better see if enough of us are available to make up the teams on Saturdays.
I'm good with Saturdays for either ride as really struggle to get home in time mid week.
Just thought I'd speak up

I had the same again last night. First 5% section and my team all flew past me despite me going from 250 to 285 watts as I transitioned into it. So they either all suddenly pushed 300 + at the same time or something strange is happening. Thankfully they waited for me so I could catch up. Strange though it only lasts a short time, but it can create big time gaps.

Having a daddy pig baring down on you is enough to scare anyone!!!

I thought you and bridgy were 2 & 3 in your team so I had to give all I had left to stay ahead. HID thought she might need to call an ambulance for me given the screaming and how I looked when I got off. HR was very high!!!

Saturdays is no good for me usually.
It seems yesterday that lots of people were struggling to get home on time from work to ride, so would it be better to go back to the 8:00 start or maybe 7:30 if it helps.
Perhaps a poll is needed.
