re Road GrandTours - i too am having problems although my bkool pro trainer wasn't detected, got this from support, haven't tried it yet

I see that the bkool smart pro turbo trainer has a power meter so it should detect. Can you please check to see if you are not running any other apps in the background that are using the ANT dongle? Also, can you please unplug and plug back in the dongle in your system and re-start the game and re-scan for the power meter?
Last resort, reset the system that you have and try again, it did help other users with this similar issue.

Please let me know if you have got it to work afterwards. If not, can you please send me the log?
[Mac] ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log
[PC] The log is in RGT_Data/output_log.txt
and we will have our developers investigate further.

My bkool pro was detected... there are the 4 device boxes...
power meter, HR, Cadence, Trainer... all but the power meter showed IDs. When I pedaled I got HR and cadence readings and my icon legs went up and down  but no watts were shown and no forward movement. I also had a message saying something like "No Power meter found".
I havene't ried unplugging/plugging Ant+ dongle but in my case I can't see that as being the problem as the Pro has been found and connected.

I had been assessing my position on my Boardman and come to the conclusion it was just a little long and lower in stack so wanted something a little more relaxed. My Boardman can go my son, he's slightly taller than me.

Both my bikes are set up quite aggressively but I suspect that may change over the next few years. My good weather bike in particular puts me very 'long and low', and although it's great fun to ride I suspect it's not as well suited to the DD as your new steed.

Are you still thinking of getting a TT bike too Andy?

Hi Tommy ,TT bike is definitely on the back burner. I will use the Boardman with areo wheels and get a aero speed suit/ helmet and see how I do. My TT ambition is to equal my age group who all use full TT setups with disc wheels.

just tried this morning before trying the suggestions, this time bkool detected (i assume) as Fitness Equipment 29132, heart strap detected, i don't have a cadence sensor fitted (i thought it wasn't necessary with bkool pro, but maybe that's for another time), i also got the message in bold red capitals 'NO POWER METER CONNECTED', i turn the pedals no on screen leg movement no forward motion, i then removed/reset ant dongle etc., no effect same error message

I guess we'll have to wait for them to come back to us then.

I have 2 bikes that are relaxed for long rides and the odd commute in summer as I do get problems with my lower back.

I have another which is slightly more aggressive with bigger gearing which I use when I'm in the mood for some speed/training out in the real world but also good for long flatfish chaingang rides.

Would love a TT bike in black namely the ribble  but wouldn't really use it .

I'd love to have a go but could never justify getting one. I looked at 'aero bikes' as a compromise like the venge and the propel but to be honest when you're not very strong and about as aerodynamic as a skip, you don't really see the benefits other than the smile it puts on your face!

Not having a Power Meter in your turbo, which a BKool Pro doesn't, is most likely the problem then.
That's one of the reasons it was so much cheaper than many competitors and quickly became popular amongst the less serious cyclist who did not want to be bored sitting on a non-smart turbo just pedalling against a fixed resistance.

You get what you pay for and we got ,Bill, Bob, Randy..................

However, it works on other platforms and is listed as being support by RGT so should be fixable on their platform.

I used to covet the Planet X Exocet in red or even pink! I realised I would have to be pretty fast to justify either but especially the pink and that's one of the reasons I ended up with the bkool pro^_^
