Just did a mile of Huez, and all the resistances seemed representative! I can't walk! But I am at least content that this Turbo isn't quite ready for the skip just yet! I will sleep well tonight. Enjoyed that though, thankyou Geoff, when it was working! What did happen to you on the second hill climb? You appeared to stop near the start, when we were doing some good drafting.
Thanks for the company! I enjoyed the first ride, it will be a great one for Thursday night's group ride. I was waiting for Rob at the start, not knowing how fast he was wanting to go and not wanting to leave him on his own. No idea what happened but when he finally caught me he went past like a missile, and I had to work hard to catch you both back up again. Then Rob disappeared, so I guessed the gremlins had got him. I enjoyed the drafting, but let you go in the end as I was trying to keep myself to my FTP or lower, so as to leave something for Crowcombe.
I also enjoyed Cothelstone, knowing the route well helped, I hope you liked it. Not sure what happened at the end, Suddenly I was closing on you but too late, then you seemed to stop just short of the line. You said your chain came off, what timing, you must have been a bit cross! I may have exceeded my FTP chasing you at the end ...
Crowcombe Combe was exactly as I expected, just a slog from start to finish, but thankfully short. One for the real power junkies to push themselves on. You both did fabulously. Rob, you just about made the start, I saw you appear at about 3 seconds to go ...
A lot more fun than just doing another long run on my own, Ta. Looking forward to Thursday night now.
