I'll be on tonight Geoff, was planning the Haytor stage you mentioned but I'm up for any route as will be first proper ride on the Bkool system

I'm afraid the Haytor stage of the league has closed now, and the next stage has started. Might be better anyway, as Haytor is a short but pretty relentless climb and not ideal for a first ride.

This weeks stage, Ponferrada 2014 - Fondo Élite Masculino, is more suitable anyway, it's an 18 km mixed stage, some up, some down, and starting off flat.

How about I aim to fire it off and anyone who cares to join tonight can find me on the live tab (filter -> advanced -> look for Geoff), say between 6pm and 6:09pm?

If you need any help finding the session or getting it in 3D (assuming you have a premium subscription and have disabled solo mode) you can ask here, I'll keep an eye on it.

Well maybe your previous bkool was just a bit on the tight side and this one is closer to the real you. That's perhaps a better way of looking at it
Bkool widow maker!!!! LOL. Sometimes I think it might even be more dangerous than out on the road. I have to reassure my Mrs that my heart can take it, which I have to assume that it can considering what I've put it through over the years. As you say, Bkool gains can be amazing and I'm hoping to find out for sure out on the road this spring when I compare my old pre-bkool times with the garmin round my local park ride. If the XC race I did recently was anything to go by I won't be disappointed.
You should have kept going at my ghost yesterday on Alpe d'Huez because just after the half hour mark (as I was also chasing Active 8 which I realised I was missing by 1 watt at that point) but I just couldn't go on any longer at that pace and drastically reduced the power just to make it to the end. If you look at my power graph you can see I tailed it right off after the first 30 mins.
Still, I'm hoping I can give you a good race soon as I'm 2kg lighter at 76kg now and I'll hopefully be back to full fitness soon. It's going to be fun!!

And..... I think that's a terrible thing you said about Calamity Spurrer and Risa Hills :P
Unfortunately Bkool don't seem very good at simulating the finer points of the 3D feminine figure. Now that would give us all something worth speeding up for

Had I known you tailed off at half hour too, I would have conceivably tried to drag my sorry ass, coughing and wheezing to the top! But you appeared fit as a flea, and also there was two of you! Potentially I could have lost to Bill 1 and Bill 2! The self esteem benefitted immensely from the FTP acknowledgement, so it was certainly not a lost cause. I have lost 6Lbs since I first registered for the Goats, if I set it correctly, will it mess up the league? And will my new rating be stripped?

Would love to join you Geoff, but regrettably I have to try and fix our estates sewage treatment plant! Which, I can assure you, is a considerably less appealing prospect! So I might challenge you when I get done! Still waiting for a massive stinky tanker to arrive!

Quick question - im currently using an ipad in the week as work away from my man cave, will it prompt a firmware update? anyone see that at all? and will it do it automatically through Ant+ or does it need plugging in? (i believe the white one did)

The black pro model updates via the ant+ the last version of the white classic also updates via ant+
