Looks like it is saying my ride is not valid again it's got a red x next to weight
Can you sort this Geoff??

You failed the "went faster than me" test!

Sorted ...

Looked quite promising at first, with four of us in a group, but I couldn't stay with Kipster and Camerauk and they gradually pulled away, and I was sat on my own a little in front of Bill.

Then the Jaws music started (duunnn dunnn... duuuunnnn duun... duuunnnnnnnn dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnn dunnnn) and Bill showed 10 seconds behind, 9, 8, 7, 6 ... gulp!

I thought I would try and draft him as he went past, and he could tow me back to the others, but I wasn't up to it, so spent the rest of the ride on my own, looked like you guys were having great fun up ahead!

Well done to everyone.

Cheers,

Geoff

OMG!! That is a surprise! Found that ludicrously tough! Wish I'd done it alongside you guys. And hey guess what!! Got fan rub! But I can sort that, sure beats the flywheel rub I had before!

Adam, amazing time, does the new trainer come with a motor?

I guess a rest is as good as a change.

How come we ended up in two parts? Who else started from the league tab .... :stop:

It just popped up in my LIVE tab, as the Thursday Night CC League, so I joined. Couldn't see you other guys at all! Goodness knows why, never had that problem before. I had been saying to my wife that this new Turbo, appeared to be stiffer than the last, and harder to put out the higher Watts! I guess it was just me getting back into the groove, that result surprised the crap outta me, just wish I'd been in the mix with you guys. I have to say though I did the entire hill standing up, I just can't put the power down like you guys from the seat. That is something I really need to work on from here on in!

I'm going take this chance to announce the winner of the 1st Mountain Goats League.

The winner is Geoff !!!!!!!!:sun::hyper::dance::girldance::cycle:

Congratulations Geoff. You completed all four stages and won the League.

(The League is still in play but Geoff has a safe enough lead to be declared as the winner)

I think if one uses the filter then it is much easier to find the correct ride. And of course if your name is not there as a rider then its the wrong one.

Consistency, rather than ability, I think! ;)

When's the new mountain goats league starting then?

Reckon I'll try and input it this weekend. 4 or 5 rides. Biggest problem for me is the difficulty in locating chosen rides in the search when setting up the league. Some don't show up and it's a case of moving onto the next choice.

So what kind of rides do we want? Alpe d' Huez type rides or Mont Ventoux/Col de la Madeleine type rides or a mix of both?

Or you just want to leave it up to me ?

As Darryn has suggested one I'm going to try and make that the first stage.

Speaking purely for myself, I like the Alpe d'Huez type, around 1 - 1:30 hours.

approaching 2 hours or more is too much for me without some kind of a break. Ventoux and Col de la Madeleine both really took it out of me.

Perhaps we could train up towards the longer ones?
