@Add i was trying hard to keep you at bay, the steep hills slow me down and kept you close, the last downhill 1.5km I was able to grab a few seconds on you, then I just stopped looking at the screen and got my head down. The heart rate got a bit high by the finish line. No catching Geoff or Bill.

@ Adam (Mr Private) you like keeping your cards close to your chest bud, your the only one who's stats I couldn't see
I was going to wish you luck like I did the others but it was all locked out.
Oh darn it! I set it to private last night, and forgot to uncheck it. Out of everyone, I could have really done with some encouraging comments lol!

You did well Kip! I gave my all, and you fair cooked me. A nice distance that actually. You can give it 110% the whole way. Had it been much further, my wife would have been wheeling out the defibrillator. Had HR up to 180 at the end!

well, that was fun! Add, I'm the Jean you saw. Name's Jean-Michel, which I'm pretty sure translates into johnny2names in english..
I'm not quite sure how I beat you in the end, looks like you got spooked by the road doing an invisible 180! Kipster, did you drink a can of monster at the top of the climb?? I lost 13 secs to you on a downhill section!! I mean, not being funny but I'm a hefty lad, 95 kg, and supposed to have a FT of 284 according to FTP test- I should be smoking all of you downhill...
very happy to have made the top of the hill with you 2 though, and to have done my first group ride

Thanks for sorting Geoff

Did everyone hear my chat as they joined the session, or was I talking to myself?

I turned off the mic as soon as the ride started, you didn't want to hear me panting away ...

Just a fig roll and some water, helps keep the 52-12 spinning at a silly cadence, head down and 300w+ ish for most of the down hill and 450+w for the last few hundred meters

How the hell do you get 300W Downhill?!? You're going to set your house on fire.

And Bill did BKool send you a new fan cover when you started getting the fan rub? Mine has just started a but now. I'll loosen the cover for now.

Two requests pending for the Thursday CC Group, Tim Parfitt and Kevin Lowson. Please can you say hello here and let me know your CC tag?

Good to see that Paul has set us a benchmark for tonight's run, at around 30 mins.

Geoff

Not sure about it being a benchmark, more like where the broom wagon is!! Thanks though for arranging the sesion, I enjoyed it but could not start at 7pm as had plans - would have been finishing the ride about anyway now!
I managed to spectate for a few mins and tried to write on the road but failed epically

Tim P is a friend of mine, he got a bkool at the same time as me ( ie very recently), and I suggested he join the group. I did say he should confirm his identity on here, but I know he's away now until next week so maybe he ran out of time! please do accept him though

Bloody Hell Guys. What kind of a start was that? Leaving me in your dust wondering what had happened. I thought I was going to come in last for a while. Great ride from everyone. You really made me work
yeah, dunno what happened really- i had a late start, and swished past you on the uphill to try and catch the group- had to ease of though, that was too hard! still, you came good in the end

I have no idea how you can hold that, 300 W+ downhill. I tried pretty hard but I think I struggled to get much above 200W downhill. 300 W uphill is hard but manageable! not sure my bkool is all that well calibrated tbh... or maybe i was just totally fooked after the climb!
