Hi, Richy.

You are a member of the league, and if you selected the ride from the league tab you did the correct thing, but I'm afraid I can't see your ride anywhere either, it's not waiting in the league for classification.

If it's not on your "My Activity" tab on Bkool then it has not yet uploaded. I can see on your wall that you did the ride on the 29th, but that was before the league session went active.

P.S. it very kindly shows on your Home ride if the session was a league session, like this ...

If you close the Bkool indoor simulator quickly, sometimes it can miss being uploaded until you run the simulator again, especially if your using Wi-Fi.

Best thing is to re-run the simulator on the computer/tablet on which you did the run, and then check Settings -> About Bkool Indoor down at the bottom of the Settings menu.

Here it lists any outstanding sessions remaining to send (and any failed sessions). If this is zero, check your My Activity tab on the Bkool web site, and if it is not there either, you have no choice but to wait and see if it appears eventually.

The Thursday night leagues are primarily aimed at a group ride at 7pm (UK time) each Thursday, when as many of us as possible turn up and try to find the session on the live tab, then drop our chains on the start line and watch all the rest disappear into the distance, shouting something like "I could have had you all ..."

Each session is scheduled for the whole week, though, so you can get some practice in, or if anyone misses the group ride they can have a go at drafting all of us in turn and then claim to have beaten us all unaided... or is that just me?

The results show up in the League tab under Share, but the current session only shows recent results if you select the actual session itself in the stages list, just above the classification.

Cheers,

Thanks for the response Geoff. That was my first attempt today at doing this course. I did have a look at the settings and it would appear that there are no failed uploads or pending uploads, and yet it still hasn't appeared in the activity feed either! If you look at the course session I'm not showing on there either!

Guess I will have to try and ride it again tomorrow night but I'm usually in bed by 7!

Funnily enough on last weeks ride (The Tuesday night when we horsed around a bit) my ride never showed up anywhere either. Even though I saved it normally. Could just be a one off quirk but I think its perhaps related to having done the ride before, as I think you've mentioned that Richy has done.
Hi Bill, Did the ride that you lost ever show up or not? It was the first time I had ridden the course today and thought I'd done an ok time which makes this all the more annoying!

Hey Bill, I was checking out the Bkool Simulator on a 4K tv (very nice), and found you on yet another hill climb, so I wrote on the road for you! Did you spot it? :hello:

Hey Geoff,
I was amazed when you dropped in for a visit. :hello:It occurred to me that you might have found it in the Friends tab but probably it was just in Live.
First I saw your message of encouragement then "Bill" written on the road as above. How did you do that?

Hi Richy. No it never ever did show up. It was as if I'd pressed the Don't Save button. Which I've done quite a lot with all the FTP tests I've had to abandon.

I just picked a session that was running from the Live tab, and was surprised to see that it was you riding it. Mind you, you do seem to do a lot of long climbs, so I had a pretty good chance of hitting one of them.

Painting on the road was just a case of choosing the paint brush in the conversation window at the top of the screen when spectating. Type something in and it appears on the road a few seconds later.

I hope I didn't put you off!

P.S. I just finished Puerto Mijares, nice course and the 3D looked great in 4K, but the gradients were a bit all over the place, so hard to pace.

P.P.S. Thanks to Kipster for the company, you weren't exactly hanging around. Not sure that drafting is much use at 7 or 8 mph, but on the few short flat bits when we speeded up it made a considerable difference.

Happy New Year Koolers! I am hopefully in, legs are aching a bit from first run in a month, and 20 miles on the turbo yesterday. But that should act as a suitable warm up, I'm sure. Meant to take it steady, but took off like a fool, and went flat out pretty much the whole way..... so easily lead astray!

HNY to you all. I intend to be riding tonight at 7, see you there! btw, do you guys use the chat function to talk to each other during the ride? and if so, how does that work/is it automatic? not even sure I can use the function on my old laptop tbh...

We have used the chat function, but only on the start line tbh! After that Bill is too far away to hear, and previously, Geoff and I have been playing cat and mouse so exhaustively, speech was impossible!

Chat works much better if everyone has a headset, speakers with open mic's just echo anyone speaking back at them, so you're best to mute them until you want to speak.

You can only hear people within 50 meters, so probably works best in some kind of peloton.

I quite fancy trying to get a peloton together for the first part of a fast run, at least until we all get a bit macho and go for it.

Not really worth it on a climb, but the drafting on the flat might mean we can work together and keep Bills one man breakaway in sight for a while!

Happy New Year Guys.
I should be ok for the group ride tonight. Not that I'll be breaking away after the past few days mileage and could be even more exhausted by then if the days plan goes ahead. Yes I have an evil plan (unrelated to tonight's ride) but its just in the theory stage at the moment ;).

ok I'll stay away from the speaking bit for now then! don't fancy riding with a headset on... thks for responses!

Geoff, I know you mentioned there is a specific path in selecting tonight's path to make sure it registers, but it's preobably 15 pages back!! do you mind reminding me what to do if you're not too busy? I just want to make sure it registers. I have added it to my schedule and to my favourites, from my main computer ( not from the laptop i use in training). Is that the correct path, or should I download it/ add it from the laptop? And where do I launch it from? thanks for the help! And see you on the road tonite

Best bet to get together in the same session is to let me start the session at 7pm, then look for it in the live tab, perhaps using a filter to cut down the numbers. Make sure you join between 7:00 and 7:10 and you can see me and hopefully others already in the session. If not, quit and look for another.

If anyone else starts a session we could end up split between two or more, so it's best to leave it to me, and only join a live session.

If it asks for a password, use cyclechat but it's not bothered so far.

I'll do my best to start spot on 7:00 pm.

See you then.

Geoff
