I've just bought a BKool TT and had a couple of quick rides. Mt Ventoux was too much lol, 3 miles in and I had to get off and walk so to speak. Decided to do a local 17 mile route instead.

I'm not in training for anything and have no real plans, just missed cycling over the past few weeks due to the bad weather. The trainer was probably more of an impulse buy and is usually the case I'll get bored but so far so good I'm enjoying it.

At the moment I'm using the trainer in the living room without a mat or a trainer tyre, the floor is carpeted wooden floorboards and not concrete. I found the BKool to be fairly noisy especially if the Mrs is watching the tv, would a mat and trainer tyre make a noticeable difference?

Thanks

The Bkool is a great all round trainer imho. I am not into racing ort anything, i just like to keep fir and during the winter this gets more difficult. With the Bkool there are so many training options i dont think i could get bored.

I have both a trainer tyre (Kenda) and a proper mat (set up in the living room as well) and Mrs Aud still watches TV so i dont think it is that loud.

Mine is set up on the Bkool mat. It's not all that noisey but of course there is a 'whir' as the wheels go round, not as loud as a washing machine spin but loud enough to annoy a non understanding non cycling type human being...i've never used it without the mat so cant compare. Look at it like this, it definatly wont malke it louder.

I'm getting a lot of challenges on the denmark rides, anyone else? Im thinking there must be a danish team out there pouncing on unsuspecting newbies and picking them off to make themselves feel more manly lol! Well those are th eflat rides eh.

Thanks for answering my questions so far. Just ordered a spare rear wheel, cassette and tacx trainer tyre. Going to look at getting some rubber or eva stable flooring to see if that can reduce any vibration noise.

I know sessions can be exported to strava but is there anyway of including the route and gradients etc?

Cheers

I don't think you can do it through Bkool directly.
What I've done is download the Bkool file to the cycling software on my computer, and then copy the route on mapping software. I then merge the two files.

Mind me asking how you merge the 2 files? Is it done via software or manually editing files?
Cheers

Which internet site are you following? I'd recommend DC Rainmaker for help in setting up.
The Ethernet cable is only used to update the software in the roller. It's a standard cable with a USB connector at one end (for the roller) and an ethernet connector at the other (for the computer). You might already have one attached to another device, like a printer. I got one in the box with the rest of the kit, but it isn't very long and I had to put the computer on the floor to use it. Could you have overlooked it?

Yep it's the cable for the printer that you use to update the roller it's not very long.

My software does it for me. I use Sporttracks 3. It includes an option to add a gps track to an existing file.
But it isn't free. In fact, by the time I'd bought all the add-on options I wanted, it wasn't even cheap .
I love it though, cos I'm a stats geek

There are smaller Ant+ sticks - like this one, though mine looks like the one in the review. It should still work.
In my last post, I got the cable the wrong way round - USB to computer, small end to roller.

That's the one ive got well ive tried a printer cable and no joy I can't get the printer end into the trainer so I'm stuck , I've just looked at the inventary on the instructions I got and no mention of a cable but I need it to update the ant stick by the look of it , I wonder if there's different type of printer cables mine has a big square end on it and a Ethernet cable on other
