Due to printing...
Due to the garden centre and other shops....
Wonder what you'd do if they refused to hand it over.
17 and they still handed it over, sack 'em!
It'd save plastic as well.
I've a rough idea of how they work, having seen two demonstrations.
Looks easy enough says the one who doesn't have one.
The clamps don't snap...
Spriral cable wraps?
Will it be dry enough for you to venture into the garden

Sidetracked...
Who's a lulu...
Dunno it was a bargain....

the main thing is levelling, I found out.
Second one is self-levelling..
other settings are found as you go along..
One of the programs I use, has a slower print speed than the one that came with the print (own brand) which seems to be a copy of another.
I used the original to do yesterday's print and at times it was whizzing.
I do prefer the other one....takes longer..
Speedy printing is not an option.
I'll change the original speed and try it....
Found that I'm getting reliable results using certain brands of PLA using the settings I have.
PLA is not all the same..
Little thing is I get most models from a couple of sites, free of course, although I have bought' some files...
a lot of the models (esp on one of them) are set up for one of the better makes of printer...
differences there are but the 'slicing' program does convert each file to your printer settings.
Anyway..
these cable clips take a fair while, 9 at a time, I'm doing various sizes.. two so far but will go through all the cables I have, I'll see what I have and dump any extra, although I supply the 'mob' with them..
:cuppa: time.....

Probably wasn't in to four figures though, unless you count the pennies.

You probably don't bump against the table you have it on. Especially when it's printing though.
How many of the other settings have you to find!
If one brand doesn't print good enough, you avoid it. Or are you finding it varies for the same supplier/brand, or even the colour?
Not something you need to be in a rush to use or get something printed on. You slow to its speed.
Yer making me think twice about getting one though. Although it's nearer 60/40 now, mainly due to "would I use it enough?".
Those "freebies" you've used, is there any feedback on problem areas, encountered when printing that might help you work out what part is going wrong. File/program/printer/PLA..

How many you planning on printing!!
Why not, yer waiting on yer printer anyway...

Of course,
I'm on a granola trial..
Man, layered with strawberry yogurt and raspberries on top?
excellent..
Thought banana and papaya mix....

I find Elegoo PLA works well for me but have tried a few others,
I mostly use 200c print temp and 60c print bed although bog standard 190 and 50 work..
After the previous printer, it definitely was my inability to level the print bed.
Now I press the button and it does it for me.
I still watch the first layers being laid down, haven't the ?? to just walk away and let it go, I do nip down every so often to check(excuse for another :cuppa: , I just can't get a webcam to work in the garage and watch from up here would be handy.
Not much left to make tbh...it'll get to a point I'll run out of stuff to do,
TBH? If it wasn't for little cases etc for my radio projects and the kids, I'd be happy without one....
I saw a project on the Toob tonight that a printed case could be helpful..
I'll be mulling this over but TBH I could run it on my computer instead of a 5" screen...

Expecting a wee radio thing from the land Trump wants to tariff but I see two recent comments saying order cancelled with no reason,
It's allegedly in the air just now and I have a Royal Mail tracking code but still being wary, I'll not lose the cost, I'll watch the tracking info...

Boils down to what and how often you'd use one, I have my radio stuff which I can make the odd thing for the kids, little toy things...

Good to hear. Everything on your list bought.
Trial by Granola sounds painful, is it?
Not a yoghurt fan myself, never have been.

Quite a few variables to take into account, and eliminate as the problem.
A piece of equipment that takes a tricky job out of your hands, and does it better than you could is always helpful.
What about one of those ring doorbell type cameras for keeping an eye on the printing! Might remove your excuse yer excuse for a cuppa though. Something to think about before shelling out.
Don't think you'll ever run out of things to print.
It's the small stuff, for others, that'll keep you printing.

Order cancelled, and no reason given. Nothing dodgy about what you'd ordered was there.
Don't just accept the order cancellation, give honest feedback if requested. And insist on yer money back, every last penny of it...

It'd be much the same usage as yourself, but no kids to print for. It'd be pieces that can't be got readily, from a shop.

I'll get the money back, no problem.
I'll check wots happening with it later..
For some reason the wifi is iffy in that area or I'm doing something wrong..
more likely, moi:laugh:
or get a model which comes with a camera, wifi also.
My tea intake would collapse....

I better go prepare the decks for our visitors and find a new toy for them, Toodles likes the articulated ones..
Saw a caterpillar one last night...

Here's to getting it back as quick as they took it from you.
It'll be sat in a holding account somewhere. Earning someone else interest...
Dodgy WiFi shouldn't be a cause once the printer has the job, should it. Or am I missing an obvious bit here?
Get a second mobile phone, and connect via bluetooth to it.
Can't have that happening...

She can bend them and not break them. She the type of kid that Tonka used to be built for, not their modern offerings.
You're liking her "Wow" moments. I'd be careful, you could run out of ideas soon.

Are they there yet!
I'll try, hope you enjoy yours.
Driving me mad at that time....
PS I've gone back quite a few pages and deleted any images I posted to save the forum bandwidth...

I have an Android burner phone (sim was PAYG), sounds dodgy but I used it for APRS so I could be located when I was out on my bike regularly, I could do something but as I said handy for cuppas...

The website hold the moolah until I say it is delivered then they pay the money to suppliers, I've used it for years and no problems yet so....plus I use pal of pay....
I'm in no hurry for it..
one of these..

It is an upgrade to the ATS-20 mini receiver I have...
I updated the firmware and although improved it, button selection meaning was now all over the place..
the sad thing is I don't really need it as I have an SDR rx which (you do need a computer) outdoes it, more something to throw in my pocket.
Have to give those across the sea, they put out a good product..
my cubesat LorA boards have been a great buy.

Caterpillar turned out good, kids played with it..
I did make it slightly bigger than it should have been..
ah, did a wee test,
a different type of cable clip..

IMG_1259.JPEG

Left was Creality Print, right was Cura.....
Funnily the better printed finish was on the right hand one,
I checked and the file write speed was excessive (made for a higher end printer known for its print speed),
I dunno why my programs didn't pick up on this although I do have to change some settings at times..
My budget job isn't built for that speed.
The left hand one had spun off the print bed but must have been as it finished, weird.
I have found 'thin' jobs and speed don't work well sometimes.
See the heat and bed heat settings

Does it actually save any?

Sounds as dodgy as owt. You sure that's the only reason for it!
Cuppas can be found in the kitchen, normally. Along with something to go with them.

Big River place or some other place you use.
Sounds a decent idea, they keep yer cash till delivery is confirmed. A bit unfair on the seller if the delivery person mis-delivers though.

What does it do in yer pocket?
You don't need it but bought one anyway. There's logic there I'm missing...
Across the pond, or the other direction.
Yer still tracking those tiny cubes! They'll realise one day, one 'll land in yer back garden, in the middle of the night. Or whilst yer having a snooze...

Just the one for the pair of them, or one apiece. Did you get a "WoW moment" from Toodles when she saw it.
Just as with printing on paper, slower is better? Along with the correct temperatures, printing program, material choice and final size...
Green cable clips, whatever next...

Most likely, kbs but no use clogging up the system..

Cuppas are seconds away from the printer..
Do I need an excuse?

Nope, Baba Express..
apparently, the package has cleared customs
Royal Mail tracking has gone to pot recently.....
Two are being tracked, one now at Midlands, delivery tomorrow AND a time, not seen that before.
Oh well..

Wee cubes? averaging over 200 plus packets received per day, 41 different sats received this month...
getting busier, 286 yesterday, the day before best this year at 306.

LOL she wanted to take it home...
played most of the day with it....

Ach well, minus 1.6 at 7.03 this morning, sun is out...
Could be slippy out..

Think they disappear in time anyway, but who really knows...

You got a kettle near the printer, save you missing anything exciting.
I dunno, does anyone need an excuse for a cuppa.

Never heard of them. Any good?
Delivered via Robin Hood Airport, where you'll not see anyone in Lincoln Green to be robbed by. "Customs" are there to do that these days. I've had times on deliveries by Royal Mail, seldom arrived by the time given. Not much different to the other delivery companies really. All you can do is practice yer thumb twiddlin...

How many is up there now, and can you tell if you've "seen" one before. A few more days left to see if you can better yer best.

You mean you never let her take Clyde the caterpillar home! That's just mean. You could have had another printed for her to take home the next time she came. And the next time...

T'were a frosty start to day down these parts but think you were lower than here, temperature wise. Oddly we have a sunny day as well. T'weren't forecast...

Could put a Teasmade outside the door....
I do NOT need any excuse...

I deal with them a bit..
handy plus some stuff is directly from the UK, not much granted..
shipping was a bit tardy at one point but the T of EMU have them all upping their game...
I'm never really in a hurry,
There's always the big river place, same stuff with a hefty premium sometimes on it although I've noticed some far away sites prices are rising.
Our council have proposed a nearly 14% council tax increase
One package is to arrive tomorrow afternoon..

On the subject of C the caterpillar, he's gone with Beag..
I'd been playing with the dimensions and made a mini C the C and he chose the original..
It was the buggy Granny bought she wanted to take home...
IMG_1260.JPEG

Same original file..
just a tweak size-wise, quite obvious what is different.
I'll need to replace the green one as the girls liked playing with it...
Oh well, more gardening is done....
Frosty nights ahead....
