Another Monday, and the last one
Rain has stopped, power restored again but there's still a slight breeze out there.

Don't go overdoing things
I have, I have..
Not a lazy day, housework plus Toodles and Tootsie....
It's clearing this area now. You'll be waking up to it.
That sorta day.

Only the one?
Is it a material fail or printing fail. Dirty nozzle/printhead.
If at first you don't succeed...
You're not ending up with a load of loose ends then.
Same could be said of many things that are the same, sellotape, duct tape, printing ink...

If she refuses to come near you, what'll you do!
Nice and sunny, a bit breezy....
A cool breeze blowing in't window...
I've done something wrong with support settings..
No 3 one is all over the place, it keeps happening at the same area..
Just cleaning it every so often and letting it go....
Oh well, more research needed.
I'll try an earlier model of something.....will let me know if it that model....
or I avoid supports:laugh:
Back down to check....

Is that an admission of wrongdoing on your part?
Could you make it more entertaining, include Toodles and Tootsie helping you.

Sun is trying to get through here, but it's a loosing battle.
Support Settings something you have limited control over?
I'm with you on trying something you've printed previously, without problems. Might be a fault with the file you've been using, or summat yer doing. Further research required when you've time.

Results, same area was the problem..
Three attempts, two different models.
I let it go

Still to be 'tidied' up
the 'fail'

You can't see it when he's standing..
the wee fella will be okay with it, I'm sure...
Done enough today so will have a look for previous 'job' with supports...
thing is that is one of the main areas that need supported.
My axis all are working on other models.
I could try another program......
I'll make my mind up..

Tried again using another program.
An almost success...
After printing..

A bit gothic...
After a long removing of supports..
View attachment 763281
ALMOST.....
neck weak..slight opening BUT it can be done..
I'm using someone else's file, in the comments are a couple of mentions of weakness.
I was meticulous with my removal of supports and it was a fair amount of material to remove.
More than happy with it now..
Superglue will be my friend....
new DXCC as well so not bad day at all.

Up around "mouth" height?
The printing seems to have left a visible mouth, that extends into the head.
A bit of cleaning up!
There's a fair lump at the base of skull that needs removing. Visible in the 2nd picture.

Will the piece hold up in the hands of a young un. You know what you were like at his age.
Yer axis's giving you trouble?

What name does that colour go by?

First picture looks like something outa Ghostbusters...
An almost success!! It stayed in one piece?
Which is yer problem then. The piece yer printing, the support inclusion or the program being used to print it?
Glad it's you and not me trying to work it out.
Will superglue work on the PLA without damaging it?
Don't blame you for being happy with it. New nail files/emery boards now on order.
New DXCC?

Spent the best part of the afternoon waiting. Waiting on trains, buses, to be seen.
crash at Bradford Interchange this morning, with the after effects being carried through the day. One platform out of use.

Super glue is used extensively apparently.
a 'tear' about 3 or 4 mm.
Haven't any super glue though.
It was as you see covered in support...
Two basic types, that recent one and 'tree' which I used for other models, are much easier to remove.
Quite a lot of bits requiring supports in this model, Beag away delighted with the Sonic model....
The all over support is best but is a devil to remove...

It'll not damage it then.
The "hair" is missing in yer first one. Present in the success though.
Well, if you're buying some make sure you have proof of age on you. They seem to be asking for ID whenever yer buying stuff that could be misused in these parts a lot this year.
Seems to waste a lot of plastic and printing time though.
And clean up afterwards?
You've another satisfied customer.
It does look a mess, I'll say that much.

I'd a delivery recently where age of buyer has to be shown..
I saw them about to ask and then they looked..
and asked my age...
I said jokingly '17', 'Aye right' they laughed.
I said reverse it.....
The problem is it would achieve the results without support..
Object prints from the base upwards...
That model was quite complex...
Back to simple things today, cable clamps...
I have masses of cables that are in a mess, so I will print loads using the tail ends of spools—a good use.
I might even head out into the garden for a wee while if only to tidy up some stuff and get sweet peas under cover.

I did head out and never posted this..
Wot a lulu...

Wonder what you'd do if they refused to hand it over.
17 and they still handed it over, sack 'em!
It'd save plastic as well.
I've a rough idea of how they work, having seen two demonstrations.
Looks easy enough says the one who doesn't have one.
The clamps don't snap...
Spriral cable wraps?
Will it be dry enough for you to venture into the garden

Sidetracked...
Who's a lulu...
