Mrs M was at GLA to take them home..

I use small 'jeweller' type needle nose pliers to prise them off..
this one had two simple points needing 'support' although I have done the previous one without them..
I'll try another method tomorrow, always worth a go and learn from it.
It was supposed to be Sonic...
to save weight and material, everything inside is like a honeycomb-like infill, normally the model is two lines thick, but I had made this 3 thick like the photo here so the outer layer was sturdier, oh well, tomorrow awaits, it took 3 hours 6 mins to print, it is not exactly quick

two supports, The left one has a branch going up to under the snout, these ones just snap off..

Oh well, lazy day tomorrow...
She saw it for herself, real-time.

How small are yer jewellers needle nose?
Only two supports to get rid off. From that clump of plastic in the first picture. Looks like there'd be more than that in it.
Sorta solid then, even if it's not all like the outer shell.
Easy tell what/who it's supposed to be in the second picture. Not so easy tell from the first picture.

Is yer latest sticking its tounge out or is that a piece to remove.

Did you see the piece where Gordon Ramsey has had 470 of those lucky cats taken from one of his restaurants, in a week. Not that lucky for him it seems. £7+ apiece, and customers are helping themselves to them.

Not for real delicate work I'd say...
but enough for the job in hand...
The first one was smothered, but the second was more obvious: Much less is needed; it calculates what overhangs.
I'll try another method later.
I have done the second one originally without any support, just a test..
Sadly PLA can be brittle and a certain young lady stood on it.
Flimsy arms and legs that are hollow.
The model with two was a larger version than the broken one, 150%, so hopefully, it will be stronger.

I saw a large ceramic one in a nail bar window just the other day, I have ??? of them....not his, mine..
Fun fact, I t-boned his cousin's Nova on my Suzuki 125...

The right tool for the job will be out there, and probably cost a bit as well.
Smothered, surprised you managed to get the piece you printed out of it.
Its calculations were a wee bit out I'd say, if the first picture was the result. You expect the newer method to be better?
Storm damage?
If it's that brittle, how come some folk are printing parts for R/C cars from it. Or would they be using other materials.
It's bigger, it's gotta be stronger!

A chinese all you can eat buffet had two stone ones on plinths at the entrance. They disappeared one day. They're not in hiding up in your nec o'woods are they?
Was he "upset" at what you'd done, were you okay. Was the 125?

There are other stronger 'plastics', resins available, basic PLA is all I want to play with/use as nothing is stressed really.

125 ? written off,
I got insurance plus..
my next bike was an old 250cc super dream....

Mk2 (125%)
Different 'supports'
a bit easier to remove (due to larger print?)

125% against original

Just a light rub with an emery board in one or two places,
91mm high (125%) 71mm (original)..
They are more royal blue, must be light...

Down to what you're happy with then.
Not stressed unless there's a storm nearby.

You'd no injuries then. Getting a bigger bike as a replacement. Were it all you expected it to be.

Why do the supports make such a mess of the printing? I'd be thinking it were playing up if I saw that.

Why Sonic though?

I'm happy with both..
I'm still working out the supports thing...
Sonic?
Beag request...
Sadly I'm not good at painting them.
His mum could be I think.....
it's more a quick rub with either an emery board or fine sandpaper, he'll be happy....
Time to go back and make dragons again

Funny earlier as the youngest didn't recognise me with my specs on.. took about an hour but then those sunshiney smiles flowed....

I'd a busted ankle which they plastered up..
1992...loved my Suzuki GS125es.....

I was thinking more of what yer using, to make them.
Anything obvious you've missed?
To go with a computer game. Thought you might have done a Minion or two, but if you feel yer painting isn't upto scratch...
If that's all you've to do, it ain't too bad. Certainly not as bad as it looks in the first pictures.

And if you take them off, so she can recognise you, you scare her when you put them on?

A week or two with crutches. Plastered and had nothing to drink either.
Thoughts on its replacement!

Eventually she cottoned on..
Smile city the rest of the day..
more likely inwardly laughing at the state of me

Haven't looked at minions tbh...
might do later.
One or two things to do first..
I'm changing the blue, spool almost out.

Change of plan, off out..
Everything can wait..

She knew the voice, but not the face. Not willing to trust herself, or the "imposter"(you).
Probably wondering why you tried hiding from her.

When I saw the type of test pieces you were printing, I wondered how long it'd be before you did at least one of them.
Pink unicorn time again.
You're gonna have to come up with something that uses all these loose ends of the spools.

Was it yerself that decided on the change of plan...
Garden centre if it wasn't...

Similar story here, plus we've got a bit of breeze.
Take it easy with those indoor jobs, you might need summat to do later this week...
Looks like darn sarff getting it first....
I took it real easy, reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal easy

Did a pink unicorn recently.....
Did Sonic's mate twice and one never got far into it....minutes....
I tried another model and the second got 30% of the way and a couple of the supports were spaghetti'ing,
another try tomorrow with a different supports plan...
End of spools? cable clips, I did some today, I have lots of plugs, chargers and cables in't house...
I've found success with a couple of makes of PLA so looking for blue..
not all are the same.

We'll see tomorrow how long it takes her to recognise me...

It's clearing this area now. You'll be waking up to it.

Only the one?
Is it a material fail or printing fail. Dirty nozzle/printhead.
If at first you don't succeed...
You're not ending up with a load of loose ends then.
Same could be said of many things that are the same, sellotape, duct tape, printing ink...

If she refuses to come near you, what'll you do!
