None spotted, should be easy record.Nah, no player had any....
the old days are gone for flashy 'plastic' ones....
Those stores are successful because they use their staff wisely, how many do you see walking around like in the bigger supermarkets?
I did give them my number at the source as a way to contact me, so I saved myself a journey and if a problem, block the number.
Brekkie Monday then back for workpeople.....
None spotted, should be easy record.
They have flashy leather nowadays...
Might use them wisely, but seldom is there any on the shop floor if you need help. The local Lidl had only three staff the last time I was in. One of those the manager in the office. Numbers are/appear to be dropping in the other supermarkets, except around the selfscan areas.
Genuine call then! No good blocking the number, they'll use another next time. Worst are those that use a "Private Number" so you can't block them.
Lugging stuff afterwards?
You were having a brekkie. You've used it already then!Lugging? easy laddering into the loft now......
Man came fitted and away again...
Brekkie achieved, a slight rise in cost, 2 brekkies, a pint and endless hot choc slightly over a tenspot....
We knew a price increase was coming....
Walk around some of the bigger ones and always two or three just strolling about, I laugh when they advertise price-match avec those two.....
Why not just charge the same? simples.
You were having a brekkie. You've used it already then!
Didn't take too long by the sound of things.
Still worth the slight cost increase. How far on past the tenspot.
Better than finding out when the order had been placed.
I nearly always look as though I'm just strolling around. But I'm in, get what I went in for, then out. No advert for Lidl in the last two months here. Even on price matching!
They're own brands are always cheaper than any other place. Though that's not what the adverts imply.
Suppose they'll all start charging to go in before long...Lidl announced today, a charity option if paying by card...
option on the card machine..
Extra? Not a great deal..40 odd p or summit...
I'll live with that....
Suppose they'll all start charging to go in before long...
What'll happen if you don't buy anything, or pay using old fashioned cash.
Doesn't sound much, and probably isn't. But charging you to enter their premises, when your reason for going in is to buy summat, is pushing it.

It has been a wet start to the day, with 16.5 mm of rain so far...
Oh boy....
I'll use cash any day, especially if you're expected to pay to get in.I'll go back to cash to bamboozle them....
People's footfall will determine how log they will 'charge'..
It'll be the petrol station thing, two nearby and an e.g. 2p price difference and folk still use the dearer one...
22.4 mm so farOwdo
Dry, but breezy start down here.
Snorkel and flippers at the ready...
Still raining?
As a young 'un, I did two three nights and a Sun evening in a local chain of stations of gogo juice..I'll use cash any day, especially if you're expected to pay to get in.
They seem to think folk will pay no questions asked. Maybe all that cost cutting, to be the cheapest is hitting profits.
Maybe they'll just up the entry fee to make up the shortfall.
Which one is easiest use, access and the like.
We got the rain come mid-day, not as much as you have though. Were over ten hours behind you precipitation wise.22.4 mm so far
The nights were quieter back then though. As a young 'un, I did two three nights and a Sun evening in a local chain of stations of gogo juice..
2 and 4 *, 6 galls of 2* for a quid...
yon pink stamps as well,
handy as most folk never collected them![]()

Probably dragged even more. Did you do many sales on the Sundays?
Bet you kept the stamps for yerssen when they left without them.
Would you do the same job now is the question.
Someone still has to take payment, as not everyone uses an app or card, especially at night. And there's more that require payment before you get any fuel. All self-service now...
much easier..
it was basic, Petrol, diesel, oils, odd car stuff and Redex. 4d a squirt..
Keep the stamps?
maybe..
local shops bought books...
Rain? sitting at 23.1mm just now, will it make the 'inch'?
who knows? who cares?
