the old days are gone for flashy 'plastic' ones....

Those stores are successful because they use their staff wisely, how many do you see walking around like in the bigger supermarkets?

I did give them my number at the source as a way to contact me, so I saved myself a journey and if a problem, block the number.
Brekkie Monday then back for workpeople.....

None spotted, should be easy record.
They have flashy leather nowadays...

Might use them wisely, but seldom is there any on the shop floor if you need help. The local Lidl had only three staff the last time I was in. One of those the manager in the office. Numbers are/appear to be dropping in the other supermarkets, except around the selfscan areas.

Genuine call then! No good blocking the number, they'll use another next time. Worst are those that use a "Private Number" so you can't block them.
Lugging stuff afterwards?

We knew a price increase was coming....

Walk around some of the bigger ones and always two or three just strolling about, I laugh when they advertise price-match avec those two.....
Why not just charge the same? simples.

Suppose they'll all start charging to go in before long...
What'll happen if you don't buy anything, or pay using old fashioned cash.
Doesn't sound much, and probably isn't. But charging you to enter their premises, when your reason for going in is to buy summat, is pushing it.

What'll happen if you don't buy anything, or pay using old fashioned cash.
Doesn't sound much, and probably isn't. But charging you to enter their premises, when your reason for going in is to buy summat, is pushing it.

I'll go back to cash to bamboozle them....
People's footfall will determine how log they will 'charge'..
It'll be the petrol station thing, two nearby and an e.g. 2p price difference and folk still use the dearer one...

It'll be the petrol station thing, two nearby and an e.g. 2p price difference and folk still use the dearer one...

I'll use cash any day, especially if you're expected to pay to get in.
They seem to think folk will pay no questions asked. Maybe all that cost cutting, to be the cheapest is hitting profits.
Maybe they'll just up the entry fee to make up the shortfall.
Which one is easiest use, access and the like.

Someone still has to take payment, as not everyone uses an app or card, especially at night. And there's more that require payment before you get any fuel.
You left them in the book for later!

Only maybe, doesn't sound too hopeful.
And read them on the job.

It'll not make that down here, let alone an inch.
