Football ground, broken!
Can Bob fix it?
These milky burps, were they yours or Toodles.
These same milky burps to blame for the washing Mrs M did.
And you'd do it all again...
Worth the wait.

I thought you'd put the names on your fractal snowflakes. Makes more sense printing them off as individual items.
There's a "tree farm" near me. Put your name on a tree early on, then collect in time for the holiday. Went past last weekend, and they're advertising trees for £50 and up.
May be you're next job. Putting the tree up, with Mrs M, with help from Toodles, doing the decorating.
Ladder to hand?

They seem cheap enough to run. Even for six hours a day. Same lights as last year?

That Toodles "WOW" needs videoing.

And some of the copies are better than the original. Not always, but there are some...

She wouldn't stand long enough in the same place..
a whirlwind of a child..

Bob couldn't fix himself....
Funnily we bought a couple of 7m strings but discovered 5 strings in a tub..
some eejit forgot to remove batteries from one...
I'll pass them on...got users for them.
Put me in the mood for a choc biccy...
Think I'm out this morning, no brekkie just an out..oh well:ohmy:

Morning all :hello:
Bit blowy out..
out early to rescue the bin in case it goes roll about..
wee bin still to get done...
Bob still a sleepy boy:laugh:
Owdo
Bit blowy, and wet, here.
There's a wall that can be used to stop the wheelie bin going anywhere here. If I'd a wheelie bin.
Big bin been done, wee bin left to itself...
Nipping out'd soon wake you.

Stick a set of lights on her. Her reaction might slow her a wee bit.
The sort of child that makes you tired just watching!

You tried!
Those in the tub were put away in a "safe place" when you took them down last time? Reappearing after you bought some more.
What'd you do that for, batteries aren't cheap.
You reckon they'll not be there long then.
Choccy biccy, before midday...
You'll need topping up before any serious lugging can be done.

Some green bins blown over after emptying, thankfully.
Stuck in a sheltered bit and now in its emptying pattern with the others..
nest bin is between the holidays....
Food bin in and others gaily scraping the tarmac..

Biccy, after lunch as well...
Trying to get prepared for after the Bells and new year logs now ready...
Thinking of revamping some of them...
Did an update of my electronic logging settings pages, I screen dumped every individual page last night so replacing the now out of date ones I had. A couple of other programs I'll do the same for over the next few days..
GC this morning again.. the last until next year I think...
Lazy day ahead......maybe

The wind that strong up there? Mostly it's bin lids being caught by the wind and blowing open, spilling some of the contents. Or simply overloaded bins doing similar tricks.
Now empty, awaiting refill.
Two weeks time, so next year here.

Tha were lucky!
After the bells? Where'll be your first contact next year...
Would it involve a "bit" o'work on your part.
All the fun you had putting them together as well. Was deleting the information, but keeping the page not possible.
Your arms noticeably longer yet. There's Boxing Day sales yet...
Lazy day, midweek, no chance...

Still, but wet...
About two degrees warmer down these parts. You staying dry.

Obviously the first one, but you could call them and see who answers. Can't you?
Messy number that. Owabout 8,765 instead of 9,000...

Didn't realise it were on either. Won't spoil it for you by telling you how it ends.
Tea, nowt wrong with it. Who's not realised it's too late to try and convert you.
Would anyone else be upto the job.
Never seen Mars Attacks, seen bits and it doesn't look good.

You had a lazy day then...

Just switched on and two contacts, merseyside and staffs, first one never came to a conclusion...

Requested to go watch youngest..must fly..

I know that bit. Just it seems to have taken the worst parts of some movies and made them even worse. And that from the short piece seen.
Maybe best to watch it before casting final judgement, but with what's been seen, could I!!

And the pair of them are running rings round you. In opposing directions.
Should give you a chance then.
Are these contacts were speech was used or where one computer has sent "the message" and another received it?
The unconcluded one doesn't count as a contact then.
You watch yer neck, the paths are slippy...

Computer...
sends a macro containing your call, locator and then decodes at the other end and the return is the same info and goes through a certain protocol and takes 1 min....
If you call then its up to ever wants to call you back...
also FT4 which is shorter..
The majority of voice contacts are call the person, they call back with your signal report and most time thats it..
there is a protocol to be followed too.
Mostly dependant (with me) on the person's understanding of English which can be very good.
The data thing is a boon for those who don't have powerful antennas and it just does me fine..
My signal being heard from last 15 mins..

Callsign and other useful information included in that macro.
If all voice calls are to that procedure, I'd be searching out the odder places.
Roger or Over and Out...
Is it still in the rules that English is the primary/first language of the airwaves?
Are you allowed to send your data message?
Things have moved on a good bit since I was last involved, no computer macros then, for the amateurs at least.
Not bad going.

The "Toodle Twins" still giving you fun.

The present day use of FT8 and FT4 is the latest set of data modes created by someone who is a Nobel prize winner.. aided by other hams..
It works in poor conditions but as we are now almost at the top of another sunspot cycle (est peak 2025), the world is your oyster..
There have been other data modes over the years, I was using PSK31 etc in 2008 when I appeared back on the scene, RTTY has been used since yon time....I liked PSK as it wa also macros but you could type information to chat..
There is a branch of the FTstuff which allows you to 'chat' but the main one is automatic, say FT8, each cycle is 15 secs (13.?sec a transmission) so I send twice a minute for say 3 mins, someone sees me and hits a reply to me and it goes through procedure and stops with a 73 or RR73 then you hit enable again for the next three mins cycle..
There are bots now which just automate it all and you now can work remote (I am always there if I'm doing it)

Toodle mob now away...
Her auntie took the holy terror out and I got the youngest one to look after..

Five years today we moved into the present 'The Towers'
Jeez, time is flying...
it doesn't seem that long..
Oh well...
any excuse for a celebratory drink

Down to a few keystrokes now then.
Technology taking over the tech...
Not much talking over the airwaves these days. Or can you add more power to get verbally active.

You relaxing and taking it easy now?
Easier control if they're not together. Did Toodles bring you anything from her trip out.

Five years, where did that time go...
All that packing and unpacking done. You did finish the unpacking...
Have one for each year you've been there. Or a bikkie for each year.
