What happens if you do it all in reverse, does the yellow alert disappear...
Rain, after all this snow. Not fair. Tell Bert he's not wanted.

You hope...
You'll go back to it and there'll be new parts on it. Parts you were certain weren't there before you put it to bed for a rest.

You have a manager for Christmas!
Not lighting up the house so it can be seen by passing aircraft then.
You still have yer Santa suit, for when they're at "The Towers".
...and a bottle of rum...
Thought it warmed up here around 23:30 for a while before cooling again.

Back to normal, for now...
Normality is a figment of the imagine, remember the Chaos Theory.....
Management is delegated in this house...
Santa suit was left many years ago workplace...
Rum, dark of course and not that spiced stuff either?
now that's an idea..
limes are in the fridge
Just had a Yellow Alert pop up for snow/ice in the next 24 hours.

Bertie boy is arriving from the ESE then moving slowly round to NW....should be a day...
from freezing to sultry in 24 hours..

Normality, what's that these days. Or ever been... You trying to say chaos theory is normal? Thought you thought chaos(Young 'Un) was the slightly elder relative to theory(Toodles).
All delegated by goodself no doubt.
You don't have a spare lying around, along with a couple of cushions/pillow.
Any drink flavoured artificially used to indicate a bad batch that they couldn't send back.
Where's yer rum?

Bert can come and blow straight over the south of this island, before he diverts back over the north of this island. Leaving Yorkshire at his edges on both occasions.
From 5°c below to 6°c above within the space of 12 hours isn't to be laughed at.
We await Berts arrival, and what he brings with him.

Good morning :hello:

Yo ho ho, we have snow :cold:
Peaceful scene except for cars struggling up a short rise in the road, and I mean 40m or something:whistle:
Big fancy cars are the ones struggling as well....
mind you more probable they don't know how to drive in an inch of snow:laugh:

Owdo up there...

Enough to make a decent sized snowman for Toodles?
Quiet here as well, same reason. They got the forecast wrong again, we got snow not rain.
Cars moving, they're still struggling to get them moving here. Tractors are taking it steady though.
Most don't, I'll agree with you on that part.

Wee yin isn't really chaos...
My explanation once to my oldest was that mum and her pals had stopped high above that now fading seaside resort I stayed in and tossed a coin, heads was for Ayr and tails was for the seaside resort, it fell tails and the rest is now history...
Hoping Bertie brings some light showers later
Got as low as minus 2c overnight, presently a balmy 0.5c..
snow looks pretty wet, not the lovely flakes earlier...-13
-11Just had a Flood Warning.
Not that bad, except I'm on a hillside at just over 700 feet ASL. There's others'll get wet before
Talking about water..
Time to go do today's housework...
Bought a cheapo cordless vacuum from the big river place, Mrs laughed when I told her the priced but is now impressed with its sookabilty:laugh:

There will be enough but will it last long enough...

You don't sound that certain.
You moved to the seaside because of a toss of a coin. What'd you have done if the coin found the only crack for miles and disappeared down it! History could have been very different...
Warmed up enough for the forecast, rain, to be correct. Somewhere after 2am it cooled again and decided to snow instead.
Trying to rain now, all that snow soon to disappear...

Cordless wet n'dry vac!
Any good? I know Da Boss seems impressed, but is it going to last long before it gives up.

She knows it's going to disappear sometime soon then, but enjoying the view whilst she can.
Could you not nip out and make one, before your chance is gone.

Nah, I'm too busy suing bleach and other biocides, sparkly ceramic ..
Cordless is just a vacuum cleaner

Over three inches of snow which looks pretty wet and seems to be melting.
Temp is at 1c...
Apparently chaos on the roads oop here in parts..
parcel delivery but not expecting it being deliver due to conditions.
F/cast is for rain and lots off it according to M/Office...

We'll see, a 2 year guarantee I think...

Sounds like total chaos up the town here too. Folk just don’t have experience driving in snow now as we barely get anything like we used to.

I was discussing this recently with a pal, he reckons its the low profile tyres they tend to use now....
I agree, too many folk try to drive normally in the conditions instead of slowing and thinking..
I'd an alert of a parcel delivery and person made good time from near Bathgate to here but said the roads are treacherous in parts, further east of you (near Dundee) just has had incessant rain.
Stay warm, young 'un....

Too busy to bring a smile to her face.
Why you suing bleach by the way?
Just a vac, nothing special there.

Woke to around that much just lying there this morning. Rain is now getting rid of it, and what we've had since Monday night.
Roads are quiet round here. For now, we're being brushed by Bert.

We'll see if it still working in two years time then.

I'm quite happy to be still around to see the end of its 2 years...
I could blame predictive text but hey ho..
It is but a very cheapo one..

The big name one I have want £65 for a new battery which is required and this one was cheaper, a spoons brekkie and a pint cheaper plus after some filter maintenance the very ancient one I have still has life on normal power, Max just cuts out...and runtime not as long..
Deliveries vans are out so conditions must be better, snow all falling in on itself, very slushy on the road, hopefully not too much rain on top of this.....

You'll still be around at the end of the guarantee period.

That's one reason I stick to corded vacs. The batterries/chargers aren't cheap replace if they stop working.
Brekkie and a pint cheaper, we talking just the replacement battery? The old un wants to show you its not ready for the scrapheap just yet. Not whilst there's a newer one hanging around at least.

There's little moving around down these parts. What is moving has increased speed with the snow going, and very little on the roads. Someone is going to get hurt.
