Late, sure t'is the afternoon now!
More shopping, how much do you need. Or do you just go along for the trip.
Pint pot of tea?

Stowford Press.. tea? nah.
Trying to run before it can walk then.
Is the speed drop as bad as it sounds, less than half the speed.
New plastic used?
I bought similar covers for the computer, printer, screen and keyboard.
Could you not print an enclosure?

Years of training maybe. . .

Speed drop worked...
Did a couple of xmas tree dangly things which had 50 as first layers and were pretty good with no obvious flaw so can keep an eye on anything I do and if over 50, I can slow it down as it seems to be okay after early layers are laid.

Nah, pretty basic made really, metal rod frame and I guess some
plastically material...with a clear plasticy window.

Time to go the the mad hatters party...

How much longer does the same piece take to print at the lower speed, compared to the speed you were using?
You're getting yer Christmas decorations ready.
Still no idea why the faster speed seems to give problems.

Is that what the rods were wanted for then.
A what killed the cat question, can you print in clear plastic?

Bit late for a tea party...

Resin is a possibility but I'll stay clear of that I think....
I'll look and see if any clear PLA available....
Mrs M asked.. she's the xmassy one..

It's the amount of pla it has to lay down just after it all gets going,
I'll have a look at one later which does 80 and have a try as I can just stop the print at any time.
I'm sure it has 'cured' itself of any blockage (if it was that.....)

The rod is wanted as elements in a yagi (same as tv aerials).
I treated myself to a tap and die kit so will get started on that at some point..
last time I used those tool was ........................55 years ago:laugh:

Off to weekly garden walkabout and have some dead stuff to haul out (annuals)

Owdo

Just wondered. I know some of the bigger ones can, but they also have multiple feeds.
If there is, she might have you printing some clear stars.
As a base on which the print is printed on or as part of the print.
Maybe it were simply trying to remind you who's in charge...

This what you were printing the aerial parts for, or a different project?
Bought a small set years ago myself. Nowt special and all in the smaller size range. Big set, up to an inch "disappeared". Think it got fed up at not being used enough.

Yer dumping yer dead stuff at the garden centre. Won't that create the wrong impression on others looking to buy stuff.
Extra set of arms require for lugging stuff!
Tough..

Someone has to do, this time it fell to you...
And the carousing, don't forget that.
You'll be releasing yer "hit single" any time soon.

I've not looked to see if clear stuff yet....
It is available but can be brittle...
wonder what you could make with it if you can see through it:laugh::laugh:
Did a couple of gold Santas yesterday, Toodles spotted the first one perched high out her way, A big grin and her pointing at and the word 'Da' was used to summon me.

Two antenna projects ongoing, one for 23cms will be a winter one..
the 2m and 70cm yagi needs some nuts and bolts and aluminium bits plus some tapping done.
No hurry though.
Manana is the motto here.....

Brown bin got the old plants etc, one more uplift but the coup is 5 mins away by car so handy, it takes longer to go through the permit stuff online than driving there some days.

Singing ?, not melodious tones at The Towers.
More like a cat fight....

Forgot to post this...
This was the first layer problem I had.....
note the one nearest, it was the first one to be laid down (an 80 layer)
the second as you can see looks perfect.

Next time I print an 80 I'll grab a photo

Probably cost more anyhow. I'd have been going over what was available from the start. Then settled on black all the time.
Windows, light covers...
At least someone likes your work. She'll be wanting her own soon, now she's seen one. Especially if she realises you made it.

How much are you saving making them yourself? Or are the bits you're making only available as parts of a larger piece.
Just remember, when you're tapping and dieing, it's a full turn backwards for each half turn forward. And take it slow.
Tomorrow never gets here...

We've had a similar level of "administration" added, along with booking a 15 minute time slot and having to prove you live in the area, in the last twelve months. Miss your time slot and you've to book another. It's easy miss it just sat in the queue to get in.
The extra layers of "administration" makes someone look good, and keeps their job safe.

X Factor/Britain's Got Talent level?
If they ever bring New Faces back apply to appear on it.

Probably cost me more for item..
Here's the blurb after I 'slice' the original file

There is approx 330m in a kilo of PLA so I could in theory get 22 Santas....
Kilo of gold PLA cost me .. £16.89 (now £25 WTF?)
Dunno how they work the cost TBH..
They are supposed to be reasonable to operate power wise.

Toodles just beamed as she pointed at the first one I made so it was into the garage and one for her:laugh:
