Does this deep fried is fine extend to Scotch Eggs and the like. . .
It's first contact, its name should be on the tip of yer tongue, ready to roll off should you get the chance.
Gone half three in the morning I'm not surprised.
And you were watching "Tornado Toodles" yesterday as well.
You dining with Al Fresco later on?
Hardly worth going really.

Good game?

If food is battered well and fried at the right temperature,
it is done fine...
I've had deep fried (in batter) pizza and it is superb....

Toodles is here today again, we met mum and dad and said we'd take her home before they appear later...
headed to a local high spot with the scanner and interesting short time time spent scanning..
must do it more often. Hankering after a home base one again...

Maybe Al Fresco tomorrow lunchtime..
a shower or two here at lunchtime...

The northern lights were in full show last night in the area,
I took some photos but not as good as last ones but it was a stronger show elsewhere,
I just looked out and never hung around.

Deep fried pizza!
Didn't the cheese melt.

She managed to tire you out yet?
Off on a jaunt again. Leave yer card at home...
Where were first contact this time.
Thought you had a home station, just preferred to do most of it on yer computer.

Smoked kippers outside?
Dry so far, but not looking hopeful from tonight onwards.

Had a gander, nowt as good as the photos I've seen by others. An odd colour to the air, even at street level, being the most obvious one.
We've a few more nights for possible sightings yet. Did the same as yerself, went out to look but didn't stay out.

Pizza crunch as it can be called is brill.....

She's here today again and presently mid day nap time..
all chaos on hold until around oneish.....
Kippers? not today, it is a wet one here with just over 11mm of rain so far..

yeah, photo not the best, I just opened the door and snapped away, I never bothered waiting for anything else.
Could just leave a camera on a long exposure setting to capture more but no thrill in now seeing them again and again LOL.
That burst has cleared away as HF is back going like a train, still possible for further storms but predicted at a lower level...

On the out and about bit, VHF frequencies, I'm in a poor location here so any height gives me a bigger catchment area.

Still doesn't sound too healthy.

You catching up on stuff you should have done already.
That'll be about now!
No kippers! Is that allowed under the Geneva Convention.
We had the rain in the early hours, around 4 this morning.

Still better than what I managed, which was nothing.
And it may have rained getting the camera wet.
There's a meteor due to be visible on the 14 & 15th. Last seen 90,000 years ago, not certain who saw it then or who'll be around the next time it comes past.
All in all an odd month, a second moon, Northern Lights visible down on the south coast and a once in a lifetime meteor closing in on us.

Escaping for a bit of "me time". Pogo stick or stilts help?

They stink out the house, sadly..
Open plan has its drawbacks..my choice, nobody elses.
Anyway keeps up the ourdoor cooking, I could pitch a tent..
still some grass...
my first night under canvas was spent worried about every little noise..
no dramas, my mum had to check on me as I slept until noon...
the nearby works area was lets just say, infested...
with docks on the other side of the road...
I'd think twice about it now plus I like my comfy bed....

You'll remember it then?
Owdo
Thought you might have been recovering having had "Tornado Toodles".
Can't you pretend you're management and delegate "that again" to someone else?

I wouldn't know how..

That's a problem with anything decent, open plan or not. The smell lingers, especially to others. No one else likes kippers in your house? You sure they're true Mhor's.
Neighbours might complain, or worse let yer tent down during the night. Or it'll chuck it down when yer cooking.
Thought that grass was for the kids to play on?
There's little there at night that isn't there during the day.
Probably just checking you were still there. You not being up with the lark an all...
Can't have been big enough to carry you away, surely.
Afraid you'd wake on a platform suspended from a crane?
Try it, camping in the back garden, say it's a trial run for the next family holiday. See what kind of reactions you get.

Missed it due to cloudy skies, just like last night.

Never to late to learn, although the healing part may take longer and the looks from the nurses might be ones of disbelief.

Day of rest, that wishful thinking on your part?
After yer stoning last week I'd say not.
I can but try. By the way, Owdo...

Rest got flung out of the window.....
Mrs M was the star of the day...
carrying on once I had finished...
problem is we used Cotswold stone on one large bit, she wants spey chip like the rest....
she wants old chips bagged and replaced, I would just throw more over what is lying there..
we spread a big and 6 small bags to cover the area..

Oct, and I can hear fireworks, oh boy.

Love kippers, herring in any form is second only to haddock.
I wouldn't mind a tent holiday although someone else to put it up, a Lilo for sleeping bags but tbh I like a soft mattress now..

In the shadow of the Buachaille Etive Mor, our usual campsite for about 9 months before we got permission to use an infamous nearby bothy...the tent was warmer to be honest. We, a pal and I spent each second weekend (Fri to Sun even), winter and summer at this spot for just under two years in all weathers. Nights spent in the nearby Kingy bar.....Glencoe played a big part in my life....
ps 1978......

So they weren't the same as what you'd used before that!
Was the colour difference really that great, bearing in mind a few days weathering would have soon changed them.
You gave up early, leaving Mrs Mhor to finish, shame on you.
I'd have mixed the two lots up, used them that way.

They were going off last month down here. Only another three weeks to go.

Try your idea out on your last patch of grass. You can even try a collapsible camp bed, saving yer lungs on an airbed.

Jeans, camping!
Is that a loaded fishing rod in that picture?
Force Ten tent?
Less space to heat in a tent than a bothy, and if anyone had beans for their evening meal everyone had to make do with it.
I got the 1978 bit first time...

Yep, the bothy we had access to was a cold place..
not even a stone one, most of the bothies are now kept in good fettle....
was handy in the snow to be honest...
The future Mrs M moved through and it put the end to the fortnightly trips...
Betrothal was looming:laugh:

Fishing?
aye, we wandered out into the Rannoch moor and fished for trout, amazing the size of fish in some of these small 'puddles'.. pan size.

Jeans, not the best idea at that time of year, I normally wore cords...

I remember we bought some of a new range of supermarket saver foods to try, a can of pork luncheon meat was opened and cut into two and dumped onto the steaming hot Smash in the dixies and...
it just melted....liquid spam...that got dumped instantly..
I baulk at some cans of meat even now

Was just below zero, lowest was 0.6 C at 7.25 local..
no camping I'm afraid
